I have nothing against gank squads. It is a legitimate tactic as is cyno'ing in a capital ship onto a single person. Do I think it's a bit overboard? Yes, but I'm not going to hate on the people who do it because I'd probably do it myself if I had the chance. My issue is with CCP that allow this tactic. The capital ship was introduced into the game to be large fleet support, instead it has been perverted into a small gang I-Win button. To all who say that Carriers are easy to kill and yadda yadda yadda, please put your money where your mouth is.

Also for some crazy unknown reason, the word carebear has been thrown around non-stop this thread. I did not mention carebears once in my post. As a matter of fact no carebear has EVER Cyno'ed in a Capital on top of me. It's all seasoned PvPers from alliances and some from pirate corps even. Carebears are usually the ones docking when I jump into system, which is aggravating but I guess it's a legitimate tactic. Frankly I don't know why you'd be afraid, my sec status is only -1.9.

Also for the people telling me to bring friends along, and have people in other systems as backup etc etc etc. Well, I already tried that. Yesterday as a matter of fact. We jumped a Typhoon and Temptest in a Megathron, Dominix, Taranis, Sleipnir and Geddon. We had a Nyx cyno on top of us. I must admit I laughed, I found it amusing. However some may now scream that we engaged them with unfair odds and so on and so forth. Well if the situation was reversed I'd gladly engage 2 vs 5. Furthermore I am not against people blobbing. Indeed some of my best fights were defending against a blob with a small gang.

I'll say it again, I have no beef with the people who blob and cyno in carriers. Its a method of gameplay and it is indeed effective. It's CCPs fault for allowing it to get out of hand.

My solution?

Dreadnought allowed in low sec.
Carriers and Motherships only in 0.0

Before carriers came out dreads were popping POS no problem, and they can continue to do so without them.
