You need an MWD. And drop a nos for another gun. ________________________________

True. You could try cap recharger rigs. Or drop the rep for plates. ________________________________

Your setup doesnt make any sense. Deimos is a good damage dealer so thats what it should be fitted for. You want to use it as heavy tackle, well, then fit for tank and tackle. You have 2 Mag stab in low that is used for gank setups, and then u waste the setup by using 4 guns instead of 5. You wont be tanking much with that 200 plate either.
Go with 5 electrons, nwd and a 800 plate. It will do decent damamge and barely ok tank.

Make sure to have a remote repper guy in your gang, or you're gonna die fast. Anyways, this setup should give you plenty of buffer and lots of gank, the two most important things for a Deimos.
3x magstab II 2x RCU II 1,600mm RT plate Named MWD Warp Scrambler II (2 pt. 9km) Stasis Web II 5x Heavy Neutron Blaster II Small energy neut 5x medium drones of choice (I'd go ECM) 2x trimarks. ------------------------------ One more soldier off to war... And one Velator in my hangars. |

not really throw-away ship, but very effective. Speed, dmg and alot of tankage. If u are in gang of other HACs and CSs, then u should probably melt opponent pretty quickly.
I tanked 2x blasterthrons long enough to kill third brutix and warp away..

For this... My Deimos has nearly 2x as much Effective HP (30k against a uniform damage distribution) and does the same DPS. Fit is: 5x Neutron II's (Void or Fed Navy Antimatter) 1x Small Nos
1x Named MWD (lack pg for T2) 1x Fleeting Webby 1x T2 Scram (9km range, could fit T2 Disruptor but... eh)
1x Mar II 1x DCU II 1x Exp Hard II/EANM II (to taste, I like to fill my resist hole 1x 800mm RT plate 2x Shadow Serp Mag Stabs
2x ACR rigs
5x Valk II's
I"ve got "Meh" skills (Med Blaster Spec 3, Minnie Drone Spec 2, HAC 4, Surgical Strike 3, etc), and I run from Bthrons. The ones you tanked must have had Electrons and a 7 slot tank for you to hold them off, as I can tank 161 DPS for a limited time (about 2 minutes) before I run outta cap (this is against a 50/50 split of damage on kin/therm, which also yields me nearly 40k Effective Hit Points). ---

You can't sugest faction gear of such price even at such prices picking an X5 over a Fleeting is wrong.
Nor can you quote tanking 2 blasterthrons and a brutix, blasters are pvp, pvp ships have scramblers thierfore somthings not right here, from speculation I would say, the megaT's were mining/blaster fit, and all 3 were gnoobs that you cought in a belt of a 0.4

According to EFT and L5 skills, it still gets 210 m/s, 1.3 km/sec with MWD. ------------------------------ One more soldier off to war... And one Velator in my hangars. |

The main thing with mass increases is, a Brutix *may* do more DPS than a Deimos, will certainly tank more, Astarte is out of the question and doesn't take that many skills to fly at the same level. However, the advantage of flying a Deimos is that it is more maneuverable, aligns faster, etc., plates (and maybe trimarks, haven't checked) completely nullify this advantage to orbit and align faster and better, making you a sitting duck. so the velocity decrease isn't the main thing here. Plates make you a lumber piece of metal with a BS sized sig when MWDing, tbh.

This gives me a couple things to think about.
Oh, and trimarks reduce speed, not increase mass.
As for rigs ANPs-increase rep amount Nanobot acclerators-reduce rep cycle time Trimark-more armor amount ------------------------------ One more soldier off to war... And one Velator in my hangars. |

came up with this after extensive testing with a friend; our conclusion was that Deimos can't tank why bother mucking with ions and electrons; lets melt them quick before we have to tank. You could toss in ECM drones if you were suicdal and wanted to try to solo I suppose....does some very fearsome dps and a goodly HP buffer (5k armour and 3k structure with 60% resists or better; 30k effective hp)

I'd stick an anti-exp and anti-therm rigs on it, fills out the resists quite nicely.
