It could equally be argued that the POS mechanics give SF and other anti-territoralists the perfect opportunity to knock alliances down a peg of two by destroying their infrastructure.
Just because one or two groups of role-players don't like a particular mechanic because it doesn't make their life easier, it doesn't follow that it's bad for RP.
I'm sure that many of us in PIE would like to see an Amarrian battleship with the EW capabilities of a Scorpion, or maybe the drone bay of a Dominix, but you won't hear us complaining that the lack of such ships signals the death of RP across Eve.
Shh they are trying to stamp there feet and cry because they dont want to shoot at POS, logic has no place here.
I have never been impressed by star fraction for pretty much this reason. You expect to have political impact but yet you do nothing to achieve it except your verbose posts and small gang combat.

Plenty of non "RP" pvp corps do not hold territory, fuel pos ect.. They still do there thing, they still gain respect, they are still well known, they still have an impact. Finfleet got involved in the bob/goon war when they had no pos's and where just there for the fights.
Who are the combat aces in bob, goonfleet, ra? I read this somewhere in the thread. Well TBH I would have Evil Thugs babys and who hasnt heard of farjung?
You can make what you want to happen, happen. You are just not willing and/or able to do so. Stop stamping your feet and crying and do something about it, expand your corp, expand your cap fleet and kill enemy fleets and POS. If you dont want to then change your RP because it obviously leading you places you do not want to go.
