You're asking people to open themselves up to gate campers who sit there all day and grief players. There's no dishonor in outwitting your opponent. Instead of picking on players who are just travelling, pirates should be ambushing their prey at belts and such.

The "big screwup" is whining PC rats who can't be bothered to do more than sit at a gate and fire at travellers randomly hoping to get lucky and pod a player. Times are changing. Adapt or go extinct.

No one ever whined about the spirit of the game when the grid exploit was being employed by pc rats. No one ever whined about the spirit of the game when people were getting ganked because their client wouldn't load the new system fast enough. No one ever whined about the spirit of the game when they blew up shuttles and podded players just for the hell of it.
Tyto you're whining because you don't get to take advantage of other player's weaknesses anymore. I hope all the griefers leave thanks to intabookmarking and this game moves forward with real PvP.

Let me get this straight. You're trying to say that bookmarking a location was not meant to be used for jumping gates quickly. Pray tell what is bookmarking used for then? People were already using this for solo mining in deep space to warp in quickly, grab some ore, and warp out before rats got on their tail.
No one complained about the solo miner using instabookmarking to land on his asteroid.
PC rats who do nothing but camp gates and grief are complaining now. I'm glad they need to change their tactics. Instead of picking on haulers and shuttles, PC rats should start hunting down gangs that are out mining. I would rathe fight a gang of pirates swooping down on myself and a bunch of other miners than get podded while going through a gate.
If that requires too much work for PC rats then they should stop pirating and get into another line of business. The rat market is already saturated with griefers.

I read it. You seem to think that instabookmarking is unsportsman like. You're trying to make this out to be some kind of moral decay in Eve (hilarious); however you're missing out on the point of instabookmarking. Instabookmarking is to avoid CAMPING which is the most unsportsmanlike thing you could possibly do.

In the 17th and 18th century pirates used small ships to be faster than the larger ones. Most merchant ships fell prey. Sometimes military ships just didn't have the agility to keep up. I suggest you get your pirate pals into frigs with mwds and use speed and surprise to your advantage. Afterall a bunch of miners in a belt cannot be prepared for a large group of small and fast ships. Blow them up and demand tribute for their protection or keep blowing them up.
Stake your territory. What an idea.

Not anymore. The pilots of these vessels are sending scout ships to give them precise navigating coordinates so that they can land right on the gate itself. This is not an exploit.

CCP can check my account. I have no instabookmarks anywhere. I used mwds to jump gates. If I was moving a hauler I would quite *happily* use instabookmarks unless CCP forbade it.
So far I have seen no comment from CCP.
