We don't attacked D2 after that change of standings. Two days later D2 was in CR and left FLA in CR to finish us off, after D2 was only half finished there with the POSes.
And the most important "turncoats" or "backstabbers" are people that changing their minds all time and attacking blues.
Were it has been written that once I set someone to blue, that this should remain like this for ever?!? It was a long journey to like BoB more as D2. (BoB has been for US a honorable enemy). And so someday BoB has been near as the people we haveing on blue.
We were no D2-pets and it was uppon us to choose.
Yes and that choice is coming to bite you in the back. Because BoB obviously doesn't care at all what happens to you now. I'm just saying it's karma.
You turn on D2 The north gets "choo-choo'ed" New entities appear. Remnants of the old north reappears. The remnants deal with the new entities. All traitors like Sparta etc, is dealt with by TRI together with temporary nap pacts. North is cleansed. North remembers you switching sides. TRI mops you up.
Moral of story? Had you not switched sides, the north most likely would have aided you. And you would have lived to see another day in YouWhat.
So, byebye YouWhat, you deserve no less.
This arguement can, has & will go on in an indefinate circle. For what its worth saying, -Y- & D2s relationship had deteriorate greatly by the time the change in standings was made official & personally, being in CORUS at the time, it wasnt a decision made lightly.
Simularly, with all the talk of -Y- getting their just deserts for "backstabbing", perhaps we are. But every alliance involved in the territorial side of this war (TRI, Destiny, Frege) can be accused of having also switching sides or "backstabbing". TRI called off their constant harassment of FLA to help out in the initial attack on CR way backin spring, only to find the experience boring as heck & go back to shooting the old north & contesting D2 in Venal. Destiny were (as is often forgotten) initially on -Y-'s side, & while they claim to have been playing sneaky spies (you owe old CORUS 4billion btw 5nake3yes ) until im shown otherwise im inclined to believe the only reason they went back to D2 (what good it did D2) was coz initially -Y- looked like they would be walked over. Frege, having mined MJY dry for months to get the resources they needed to setup in the Drone regions, promplty set us all neutral & twice now have joined the bandwagon to take CR.
Im sure theres pleanty of people who will say these things arnt the same. But as far as I can see the only action -Y- took in this whole drama that the others involved didnt is to set BOB blue. Untimately, I think the phase "perception is reality" best applies to this whole affiar. Because it seems only in setting BOB blue & joining "the dark side" has the whole myth of backstabbing the old north been able to last so long while others transgressions have been allowed to be forgotten.
There, said my peace. Congrats TRI, especially Darkness, on putting together such a capable & active PvP alliance. I hope there is still a thread of mutual "respect" between the pilots of each alliance (despite what that Viper Squad guy said last page). Its by no means over yet, & no doubt even after all -Y- sov is dropped (if it is) it wont be the end of things. I certainly hope it isnt anyway, as I've had to watch this entire affair unfold on CAOD. Its hard to appreciate how frustrating that is . Hope the fighting is fun & intense this weekend in XZH.

Edited by: L3dZ3P on 27/10/2007 16:10:53 Now I see why as a rule I generally dont post here....there's usually just so much smack and hate :S So now I give my 2 cents worth. Tri have brought together a major warfleet, which at its peak in XZH would have gave a decent fight to any alliance in the game and this for us could not have been at a worse time...the reasons have already been discussed. The situation we now find ourselves in is only due to the might and determination of Triumvirate and not due to any action by the so called "hangers on". They will be easy to spot in this thread as many of them will have had the "D2" tag before or affiliation with them, and as such are sore that their alliance was crushed. While they like to say that we backstabbed them, it has been proved however that they done the backstabbing by trying to work a deal with the goons ref Cloud Ring behind our backs....while we were all still blue, 'cept the goons of course:) The chat logs of that have already been posted and I'll be happy to link?? All that said and done I feel I must say that Triumvirate have been more that worthy opponents and actually seem like a decent bunch of guys,(and lady :D) going by the local chat.

Originally by: Gordon Red Maybe your own OPs containing only 99% TRI, but we are facing a lot of different alliances since some of the old -Y- want to leave to the south. And who's fault could it be that multiple alliances see you as enemies? I suppose your alliance has done nothing to create this situation....
- 1-4 (steady) wardecs since 2 month Wardecs only affect you if you hide in Empire instead of being in your 0.0 home to defend it. - Outbreak and Red Alliance roaming the low sec areas since the diversion of the old -Y- They shoot a lot of the guys that wanted to leave, so I don't complain much, but the material flow from and to our space have been limited (mostly a problem for the smaller corps). See the above statement, it applies to being ganked in low sec as well. - TRI attacking - MH and Destiny attacking p-2 on their own - Frege deployed some posses and personal (POS in the station systems got kicked) I highly doubt that the attacks from Tri / MH + Destiny / Frege was simultaneous. Ever heard of moving your fleets around to deploy where the current attack takes place? - Outbreak and Evoke gangs roaming also CR (but they were fun to fight against) Roaming gangs cause you so much trouble that you can't mobilize a fleet to defend your home? Geezus... NOTE - this is not a whine, just some information that some people might want to notice. It is "normal" what is happening or happened so far.
I can not complain much, people attacking when some one apears to be weak. That's natural selection. What will be left from -Y- will be stronger and I am looking forward to.

ur right it does sound defeatest. my mistake Since im not online it isnt my place to comment on whats actually happening ingame, whose winning & all that. But none the less however it ends, hope it ends with mutual exchanges of "gf hf" etc rather than a tirade of bitterness from both sides & the uninvolved but highly opinionated.

Originally by: Ben Nato For a while I've done my best not to post here but I would like to make my feelings towards YW and the current war known.
I have the utmost respect for most corps in YW and concider the people in Beast of Burden friends. I flew with them for a few weeks and I like those guys and gals and think they are professional and people who deserve respect.
However STV and Wildcard are the ones I have a problem with. I once lost 500 million isk due to their immense stupidity and have no intention to forgive them or forget what they have done. When the incident took place I realised that there is a big difference between the leadership in YW (this was before FSP & co left). I learned at this time that STV are nothing more than arrogant noobs who assume that the alliance belongs to them and that they can do as they wish. Eventually this noobish attitude, coupled with their stupidity, led to TRI invading and taking Fade from STV. I told STV that I hope they lose ten times more than I did but I wasn't expecting their losses to be this big, well done TRI.
I'm not happy that my former comrades and the new people who have joined YW not knowing what kind of a people STV are are suffering and hope the conflict comes to an end soon. I will be delighted and rejoice when STV have been utterly crushed and destroyed but for the sake of all others I prey for a swift end either way.
The reason why I'm posting here as an ex YW member is that I had no intentions of fighting on behalf of an alliance ran by those useless wastes of space in STV. I really felt bad when I left but I was not in the mood to bankrupt myself just because STV have no idea how to command fleet battles and how to treat other alliance members in general.
Beast of Burden I hope you put up a stubborn fight and not give way to those Tri. STV I hope you all get bankrupted, lose all friends and are forced to leave the game. You will not be missed.
I recommend all of YW stop following STV and either kick them from the alliance or leave the alliance and form a new one. Then throw STV to TRI like slaves to lions and be done with them. Maybe then TRI will end the siege and YW can rebuild and prepare for the next war and conflict.
LOLZ and lots of LOLZ at the "FC's and CEO's only are allowed to post in COAD or the forums". What're you going to do YW? Kick members if they post here? I'd love to see you do that, it's this idiocy that got you in the war in the first place now please start kicking pilots and corps because they can't use tech 2 425mm rails for fleet ops. Please keep making posts like that, they make my day. N00BZ.
Ben.
P.S. As my sig says this is my own personal view and has nothing to do with my corp, if you have a problem with me you can take it up with me in the game. I will not respond to stupid posts here.
^^ that is the reason why we donŠt post, to prevent posts like this one.

Naw, those posses bought them an extra week. Thats probably more than fleetbattles would if we have to look at it as events have unfolded.
This is in no way meant to disrespect YouWhat pilots, the truth is that the POS'ses forced us to regroup and call in every man and his mouse while fleetbattles would have brought forth the our members voluntarilly.
Personally I have given up on getting any fleetbattles with -Y- so now theres just the drudgery left (camping gates since 9.00 eve time today with preciusly little to show).

You can only blame CCP and game mechanics for that. What exactly would you gain in pos war by going against a larger fleet that you couldnt achieve with less people and good setup posses? Im afraid POS warfare is... well... about posses.

Or they could use the POS and a large fleet and maybe not lose them all?
Game mechanics have nothing to do with them not turning up.

I love the whole twist. Despite we have 260% the TRI numbers we could only field a fleet 50% of their largest one so actually we were the underdogs here and TRI are big bad meanies for picking on the little guy.

I wouldnt put it like that but you need to realize that the member count of alliance doesnt necessarily tell much about the real amount of players. I can tell you that the largest amount I have seen online in the alliance at any give time was around 300 right after the merge. If you would have given us time to sort through the member base you would probably have seen a youwhat with alot less players. Actually that cleansing has been on the way during the whole "war" and you can see that the amount of corps and players in youwhat has already come down drastically.
Atleast that 1200 members we had before the merger were people who would actually turn up on ops. ---------------------------------------
