"I think the use of insta jump/dock BM's is down to the individual.
If the user of them is happy to kill off parts of the game in the search of a quick way to make isk, or make X amount of jumps risk free then there is little that can be done to stop them. "
You just admitted you dont mind if other people use them. That makes you fall under the Less then 100 IQ group.
Maybe this is your idea of a pathetically easy game with no sense of danger. Your either inept or .... INEPT.

Are you reading the same thing I am, I didn't say I didn't mind, I merely said there is nothing that can be done.
Now if your best arguement is going to be 'you are a thickie so you don't deserve an opinion!' then I see no point in trying to reason with you.
If you did want to to get together in game sometime and continue your point about me being a noob carebear I would be happy to meet up in 0.0.

Can we agree to disagree, on the fact that we both agree on the insta jump/dock BM's?
This is going no place fast and turning into a smack fest. It is clear I am at fault and have an IQ touching on about 32, so I submit to your great mind and intelligence.

For the love of God and all things holy and unholy, remove the insta-jump bookmarks. There are several solutions which would work, but the solution used isn't the issue, it's what the insta-jumps are doing to the game.

Time is money mate, so doing a lot of agent missions does not equal free stuff.

Time is money to you, mate. But I went through a helluva long argument a couple months back with someone trying to explain how minerals mined themselves still are accountable as production cost.
If time is money to everyone, there are people playing this game whose time is completely worthless.

Well, you've already shown yourself to have questionable mathmatical logic skills, but let's see if you get this one.
You = n00b
n00b = carebear
You = carebear
Ban you.
And if you try to tell me you're not a n00b after 11 days playing Eve, you're even more delusional than I thought, which would be saying quite a bit.
How many trips have you made to 0.0 space, again?

Azamien. I was a beta tester. I had a character with over 1.5 million skill points after retail but deleted it and quit for awhile. I decided to start fresh and start a new account totally. And im not sure if my old account was still saved.
My math is correct. My logic is correct. Its easy to say someone is wrong but can you prove it? Nope so dont bother.
n00b.

No, your logic is not correct. Everybody playing this game was a n00b at one point. PVPer and carebear alike.
And I've never claimed to not be a n00b. Yep, I'm new to the game. You can probably see me say as much in at least a couple of recent threads. So? Everyone is a n00b sometime.
But whether I've been playing the game since yesterday or since beta, it doesn't take Eve experience to pick out a completely irrational, immature, self-proclaimed know-it-all. Hi, Sin.
Now why don't you go crawl back into the same hole you went into when too many people started saying you were wrong about currency exchange and save of all some time.
And who are you to say you assume someone else doesn't speak English when you type like a half-literate 5th grader?

How about a warp accuracy skill and the ability to warp to within any distance of an object, at 15km you'll always be fine, if you try to cut it it closer there's a chance you collide with the object and destroy your ship. If you are untrained, its a very risky move as you train the skill you will lower your risk.
Prereqs could be nav5 and warp drive operation 5(after all you shouldn't be able to do something like that if you're a new pilot) and I'd make it a high rank skill so that you have to invest time in it if that's your intention. I like the idea of being able to warp within any distance (such as 1000 km from an object if I want) you cant have a restriction on how close you can place a bookmark to the gate if you allow that though cause you could just fly 500km off the gate and then warp to 500km.
This solution would just check to see if you're within 15km of an object when you come out of warp and if you are checks to see if you die. Maybe make it test only against permanent objects, cause you don't want people to just spew jet cans all over to grief people coming out of warp.

Didn't read all of it.
Couldn't you just deploy a warp scrambler on the other side of the gate?
BM's would be fine, but leaving the other side would be hell.

Insta-jumpers need to be addressed with something else than the deployable warp inhibitors, which are cool, but not the answer to this problem as some people have suggested.

For gods sake lock this thread already... This subject rears itself every few days it seems now...
It's been flamed enough and the decision by the devs was bookmarks are staying with the warp jammers to allow pirates to kick you out of warp.
End of story.  -------------------------------------------

First off let's dispel some of the rumors that anti-bookmark people like to represent:
1) Insta bookmarks DO NOT ruin a blockade.
2) Insta bookmarks can only reduce the risk for 50% of travel in a single system.
3) Insta bookmarks DO NOT help you get into warp any sooner.
If you camp ONE gate in a corridor system you will have an equal oppurtunity to kill 100% of non-BM pilots and 50% of BM pilots.
If you camp TWO gates in a corridor system you will have two oppurtunities to kill a non-BM pilot and one oppurtunity to kill a BM pilot.
This is the way that it works currently. If anything debate that and stop coming up with things like "insta-BMs ruining the game", "Insta-BMs are an exploit", "Insta-BMs make travel 99% safe".
Let's stick to facts, ACTUAL statistics and maybe everyone can find common ground.

Wrong. Deployable warp jammers only stop people from warping out, not warping in. They have no effect on insta jump bookmarks.

Like some other people have pointed out, once these deployable warp disruptor fields are in game instajumps will not save you. You will drop out of warp whether you like it or not, and you will die. Right now I see nothing wrong with how bookmarking is used in the game. And I have seen first hand how these new warp fields can slay instajump bookmarks on chaos. o'tamoshimi :D ------------------
