LAnge deMort	Posted - 2007.10.20 00:13:00 - [1] There was a time when there was balance. Balance of a sorts. That is the evil done in Eve was balanced by the good. But we grew complacent. Too accepting of the atrocities that were perpetrated against humanity and the pirate clans became a part of the landscape. Supposedly, they were the wolves that kept the caribou strong. But wolves do not steal indiscriminately. They do not lay traps with lies for the unwary. Wolves are not greedy, nor are they power hungry. Pirates have become an infestation of fleas, of parasites. They are a cancer that is eating away at the infrastructure of Eve. Just people! We must see them for what they are; unacceptable vermin; carrying diseases of the mind that corrupt able bodies into doing their bidding for the ephemeral promise of glory. The pirates must be eradicated. There are anti-pirate factions in Eve aplenty. But they are disparate, fragmented; valiantly but ineffectually fighting against the daily surge of ôred tide.ö These champions of justice must unite; like a mobilized human vaccine we must come at the pirate malignancy in a concerted effort. A needle injected into a particular extremity of filth and corruption, we must join together in concerted effort. We need not renounce our allegiances nor relinquish control of our assets. But we must focus the bright cutting edge of our determination in order to balance the skewed scales of justice. My proposal is a simple one: Align with my banner. Look for the sign of the Majestic Twelve. Without abandoning membership in your corporation; your corporation will be instrumental in the mechanizations of The Majestic Twelve. We have endured the tyranny of these unjust marauders long enough. Their masquerade as mavericks and free spirits can no longer be tolerated as anything but rampant criminal war against the sensibility of order, commerce, and peace. Since it is war that they lay as their door mat, then WAR we will bring to their systems, to their posts, to their very existence. I am LÆAnge de Mort. You say that Pirates are destroying the infrastructure of EVE, when really it's the anti-pirates that are responsible. For an example.. A pirate destroys a vessel in low-sec, takes the loot and sells it in low-sec. Everyone has access to buy this loot. Now lets say an Anti-Pirate flys to low-sec and destroys a pirate vessel. They take the loot back with them in high sec and sell it there. Only non-pirates can purchase this loot.

Let history record that The Pirate Wars have begun! there is no society without parasites, no city without theives, no honour without the impure. without us there is nothing to raise yourself above, nothing to set you apart, and fulfill you're yearning for self congratulation, we are needed to fulfill all the basic needs of society; by providing a reference point, by circulating coinage, and as you before stated, removing the weak. do not fear, hate or dislike us, merely accept that some things are beyond your controll, greed arvice and unpleasantness are all parts of the dance, no matter how unsavory.

I tell you there are profits and unmined fields still left in low sec because people like myself keep them profitable. I say you only complain when it hurts YOUR pocket, but you smile when it benefits. I say it benifits becuase I keep it profitable. My very small fee for making your wallets swell, is that I can occasionally take your immortal sole and in return, reline my own pockets. So wage your war against us pirates but know that you are simply waging a war against yourself. You wage a war against those that did manage to escape my gun and profited in taking that risk. Even if it is indirect. You are just fighting yourself. I will just profit more as you bring more pilots under my gun. ~ * ~ ~ * ~
marie claude	Posted - 2007.12.08 09:39:00 - [28] the only way to beat the pirats is by attrition. truly the people that get killed by them know they are in a hi risk area? why are they there? they accept the risk.and so join the pirat in his sin by giving him the chance to kill them, or ransom them. sorry demort tho you have a noble idea it is misguided.i advise u to take a pilgramage to convince all other pod pilots to avoid out of sec areas.starv the pirats out.if they have no victems they will prey on each other till none are left.

I have died at the hands of pirates in the past through my own complacency. Yes that's right, complacency. That is the true pest, virus, cancer, whatever else you want to call it. By taking the right precautions, having the right mindset and awareness you can defeat or avoid any pirate. Desanti teaches us, "We are all the culprits of our own demise." Every person who is complacent and falls victim to a pirate serves only to strengthen their resolve. However, every person who stands and survives serves to strengthen his own. When you see a fellow pilot in trouble what do you do? If you ask this question to the common pod-pilot he would he reply that he would he use this distraction to flee, instead of coming to the aid of another. It is not through pointless crusades, and temporary alliances that fall to shambles or transform into greedy empires that a war against piracy can be one. But it is through education, vigilance, and the efforts of every single individual that the flow of crime can be stemmed.
