With with 2 damage bonuses, 6 turret slots, and plentiful PG this ship is the baddest of the bad. With Battlecruiser IV giving an amazing 50% bonus to damage output and BC V gives a 66.66% damage bonus this baby knows how to hurt. This ship has room for the largest ACs 425mms with plenty of room left over. Throw in T2 hobgoblins and decent missile launchers for support and you have a BC that can compete with a BS for damage dealing.
Throw in the fact that you'll have enough PG and cap to run 2x T2 medium armor reppers and you don't even need to sacrifice your tank for gank *Cough*Gallente*Cough*. Even with a best named/T2 mixed fit it's cost borders on a mear 40 mil after insurance. Excellent Damage, a good tank, and at a reasonable middle-end price makes it easily one of the best all round medium ships.
Prefered fit Hi-slots: 2x Heavy 'Limos' Missile Launchers 6x 425mm 'Scout' ACs
Mid-slots: AB/MWD depending on skills and preference Warp disruptor + Webifier Cap Booster "Great for running your dual tank for extended periods" -or- Sensor Boosters "Allow you to catch those pesky smaller ships in a gang setting"
Low-Slots 2x T2 Medium Armor Rep "Excellent repair abillity even without the cap booster" 3x EANMs "T2 if possible" Gyrostabilizer T2 ___________

Drop the 3rd EANM for a DCU and you should be good. t2 is of course better for the guns =)

True it is a beast, and I do so love my 'cane (drools at the thought of a command/pirate variant someday) but yer maths wrong....At BC 4 you're gettin a 20% bonus to damage, not 50%, and i dunno where you're gettin your 66.66% damage from at BC 5 since 5%/lvl * BC 5 = 25%.
LOL, the Hurricane gets a bonus to BOTH damage and RoF it's not 5%. 2 damage bonuses. Basically 1+20% damage bonus divided by 1-20% RoF. Or 1.2/.8 = 150% damage final. 1.25/.75 = 166.66% Damage final. ___________

I would like to state that I usually prefer a mix of 4 EMP, 2 Phased Plasma. 1 explosive missile, 1 kinetic. And hobgoblin II drones. Gives a very nice spread of damage that tends to find the holes in people's tanks quite readily. ___________

@OP with that fit, using T1 ACs, you will have pretty lousy range, meaning you have to come very close to your enemy. the rest of your setup does not have any nanofiber whatsoever, meaning your little hurricane is nothing but a lady with a fat arse, unable to close into the enemy fast enough and IF you manage to, you'll be so slow turning around that it's sick.
any med/long range BC and even cruiser will eat you alive, even with dual repping. assuming the pilot is at least a little bit smart. dumb ppl. does not count, hehe.
frigattes will just escape you, as they'll be faster than you anyways and BS will pop you before you even know what hit you.
my favorite setup without nanos includes 6*650 artis and 2*heavy launchers. not saying that's best, it's just my favourite on the cane. why 650mm and not 720mm? coz i hate to reload every 11 rounds, in middle of a fight.

Sorry but Arties downright suck. You're using a crapload more PG killing your room for what precious tank you can fit. Doing 2/3 the damage with Antimatter Amo at 25KM tops, any more and your DPS will drop like a rock b/c of falloff. Any longer range and you'll have to use weaker shells killing your DPS even more. I mean even a best case 60 KM doesn't even offer you that much protection against a nanoship from as a Sniper "and a bad one at that".
The Ship gets 2 damage bonuses, it's foolish not soak every bit of DPS you can get at Point blank range while overwelming your enemies with shear firepower. Especially with small gang support "5-20 players". The Dual MAR's aren't perfect but they're very nice, and i haven't even touched nanosetups since the nerf earlier this year. Sorry but this really is the way to go. ___________

my tank is perfectly fine. maxed armor tanks skills and advanced weapon upgrades. thank you.

i don't understand what you are saying here... wasn't antimatter hybrid ammo? since when can you load hybrid ammo on AC/artis? what does antimatter have anything to do with this post?
you want pointblank? fine, then go nanofit. otherwise just forget it, your slowass ship without any agility whatsoever is good for nothing.
oh and: u might want to check the stickies before asking for ship setups, there's a nice index about ship setups.

Sorry I meant EMP, don't know why i said Antimatter. Just a slip I guess. Also Point blank + nanofit? You're just asking to get webbed = death. I guess we'll have to agree to disagree, but man i REALLY disagree. ___________

t2 autos+barrage. stay out webrange and use the generous falloff. t1 ammo is a little less forgiving on this, but you can maek it work. Meatwad FTW |

ofc T2 with barrage is a total different story, but the OP mentioned scouts, so... i can't agree with that.

...But then you're just losing your DPS to falloff/tracking. Since most small gang battles start within 20km anyways it's not like it's hard to get to point blank. Sure it won't be the best ship to catch stuff. That's what the guy in the ceptor/dictor is for. Just once he is caught it's the ship that goes in and pounds the hostile sensless. Sorry, but I think it's a crime to use that beautiful damage to it's fullest. ___________

6x 425mm II Small Nos II Medium 'Solace' Remote Armor Rep
10mn MWD (named or T2 if you want to) x5 Webber Warp Disruptor II Sensor Booster II (or T.D., R.S.D, ect..)
2x Gyro II 1600mm Rolled Tungsten 2x EANM II Damage Control II
6x Hornet EC-300
Makes a nice disposable gank ship with a decent passive armor tank. Add trimark rigs if you want to spend the isk, and slaves if you are totaly loaded.

Are you trying to say the Cane is better then the Myrm? As I fly the Cane a lot I wish that was true. With your setup your falloff is around 11k. Meaning at 11k you are doing 50% dmg. While a ship like the Myrm has 5 heavies that do full dmg (with bonuses) regardless of range. The cane also has the worst tanking ability. 2 MAR (without any bonuses) do not last long in battle. After 2 cycles you are often times dead. The alternatives for a tank are not great and take away from having dmg/speed mods. In saying that I still enjoy the Cane as it is a solid BC.

Wrong, wrong, wrong... Firepower is nothing without tracking...which lacks on every minmatar ship! Also, the hurricane cannot fit 720mm together with a decent tank. Low power grid is a minmatar disease! The range that one can get with 720 is to small for sniping ! I dont know any setup for hurricane that can damage, tank and use microwarpdrive indefinetly ! But i know this kind of setup on Myrm! It isn't very fast either...so it can't really escape predators. The drone bay is way to small, the shields and the armor don't excel in anything but existence. So overall it isn't such a good ship to navigate into pvp. Ah, and the final straw...the ammo. What the hell is t2 ammo for (except ofcourse barrage) ? T2 ammo kills tracking, damage is invariously set on explosive (which every ship can tank, either on shield or armor)...so wtf ?
