Maybe 1 vs 3 at the most. Carriers are logistics boats not BBQ mobiles.

Nope, just because I spent alot of time training for my Hulk, that does not mean my hulk should BBQ a huge gang of pirates with my stip miners. Specialisation does not mean I can kill anything that moves.
(T2 logitics boats need alot of training, those are not killing machines, why should a capital version of them be killing machines?)

Yes and no, if it could be supported by energy transfers from gang mates that would aid its logistics abilities.

If I could play with the stats I would actually reduce a carriers DPS and increase its tank in direct proportion. Be that through a resistance bonus, a repair bonus, or even an extra low or mid slot. That way it could stay in the battlefield and help gang mates through logistics, and at the same time not be such a liability due to its tank. (I have not tried Triage yet ... I am training for it ATM)
