I would never die in this game if I never made mistakes... Thats WHY you die, you make a stupid mistake, enemies capitalized, that goes for any class ship.
No, you see that's where you're wrong.
For purposes of argument I'm limiting mistakes to the scope of "upon sighting the enemy".
If I go into a dangerous situation the the assumption that I'll need to get out of it then yes you're correct that you can avoid all traps. However, the problem is that a mothership does not have to avoid anything and can still get off free.
A titan has to choose it's fights carefully. Since it's ability to obliterate fleets directly impacts it's ability to jump out, a titan pilot must make a painstaking choice as to whether to fight or run. Typically, they run. Partly because if he doesn't his alliance will tear off his limbs and beat him to death with them, and partly because the forums will repeat the process with his reassembled corpse.
The mothership pilot does not need to make this decision because it costs the mothership pilot nothing in terms of cap to bring his full armament to bear. He sits, dishing out immense dps knowing full well that he can jump out the second the battle turns against him because he's in lowsec and has an alt waiting to give him a cyano.
No other ship is singularly immune to death. Even the titan, with it's own ewar immunity, cannot fight and retain the ability to run. And every other ship in the game is vunerable to defeat in one way or another. Certainly there are ways to mitigate the threat but not eliminate it entirely.
MOMs are invunerable in lowsec if the pilot isn't a moron. People have known this for more then a year now and have been screaming about it just about as long. With CCP planning to eventually use lowsec as the grounds for eventual faction warfare, it makes sense that they're aiming to take out the lowsec solo pirate trash by taking away the biggest "I win" button in the game.
If they don't do this, then when they do introduce faction warfare it will be ONLY mothership pilots who partake in it because they'll be the only ones equipped to survive the environment.
Actualy he isnt wrong dude. That x13 kill was textbook. With those BS that warped in as you can see dont seem to pose a threat in itself. But the engaging fleet had somthin rediculous like 20 neuts on him. By the time he realised he was in trouble he no longer had the cap to jump.
Just because people cant be bothered to put the effort in to kill a 30-60 (fittings included) billion isk ship, doesnt mean that you should be abel to scramble them in a punnisher.
Get the messege dude. no one is signing your petition.
