I think maybe amarr do need a bit of werk here and there. Not because they "suck" because they dont. Just to make things a bit more interesting and more defined.
Armor tanking is more popular than shield tanking that's for sure. But I think people are going overboard on the Omni tank thing, I dont think they are as popular as people make it out to be. And CCP have made a small change in that area already.
Amarr are hard at lower skill levels, maybe harder than most races. With low cap & ship skills can kill your cap and make a ship dead in the water. With Uber cap skills and spec 5 in your ship you get to a point where cap use is down to a level near gallente. But it still hurts a bit, hell on a mega sniper fit having all guns active will cap you out. Kind of envy the arty users for that.

Cap use is only really comparable at the short-range gun level, its really not when it comes to long-range weapons.
The problems are many, and omni-tanking sure is one of them still. Omni-tanking allows a (stealing from goum) 50% increase to ALL armor resistances, a 12.5% increase to all shield resistances, and a 60% increase to all hull resistance for less cap and CPU than a tri-hardener setup that gives 55% to thre resistances. Yes, omni-tanking still kicks some serious butt. ☺☻☺☻☺ SO how do you get me to stop posting? Bump this thread Until devs answer |
