no - I cant use a carrier. nor can the vast majority of the player base.
in fact, if people do quit over this, I dont think they would be the kind of players I would have wanted to play with anyway.

Nope, kinda funny really as I can now pretty much fly carriers atm. Never got round to buying the carrier skill though as I'm not in a corp and won't 'need' one for 3 months at least.

The more posts I see in every single forum about the carrier nerf, the more I think it must be needed. I thaught capital ships were supposed to be special, but its pretty clear that literally everyone has one. Because there are only 30,000 people playing any given time and there seems to be about 30,000 posts a day about how awful it is to nerf carriers.
If carriers are so damn common that it warrants these 1000s of posts then there is something definitely wrong with them.

I wouldn't quit, i'd keep my main account, but like many i'd probably cancel 1 or 2 of my accounts as I would no longer have a need for them.
One of my accounts is being specificly trained to hold a mothership for me when my main isn't in it. If the mothership turns into a 20 billion isk lump of trash I wouldn't need said account.
I probably ain't the only one.

It is very clear that CCP was correct when they suspected that carriers were being used by people as solo wtfpwnmobiles instead of fleet support vehicles.
The amount of nerf whining (for speed tanks and against carriers) going on at the moment reminds me of nothing more than my days reading WoW forums.
Anyone volunteering to make the 'World of Vagabondcraft III' video to entertain me?

Best part is on sisi fighters no longer take up the ship with the fighters bandwidth, meaning that a ship can have 10 drones and 5 fighters on it.

Yep, I already have to fly with a gang to avoid any half competent noob in a damp ship, Which is totally fine, carriers are and should be gang ships with great logistics, and limited dps. I got a carrier to have lots of lil poorly coded buddies swarming a target, and I won't stand to have that taken away from me.

Nothing at all! I do it just for the sake of faster targeting on the part of the host ships. However, 5 normal drones out at once is totally absurd, and there is NO justification for it. 15 ogre 2s with perfect skills is 750 dps, thats the same as a poorly fitted megathron. 5 ogre 2s with perfect skills is 250 dps, which is just pitiful.
In my opinion the bonus for fighters should be SWITCHED. Delegated fighters get 20%/level damage bonus, carrier controlled fighters do not, or maybe every fighter beyond 5 does not get a bonus if controlled by the carrier. Carriers are certainly not pwnmobiles, as they barely outdps a battleship, and can be disabled by a single damp ship. CCP is trying to fix a nonexistent problem, if you are not smart enough to avoid getting killed by a solo carrier, perhaps it is time to reconsider your MMO of choice.

But honestly, carriers are broken cause they lose DPS? If you wanted to blow stuff up, you shouldn't have trained for a ship which gets bonuses to remote repping.

Cry more carrier pilots. They were meant as support ships for fleets, not for dropping onto gangs or solo gatecamping.
Quite frankly, if you're willing to quit over this, good riddance. I'm sure WoW will welcome you with open arms (as long as you're a Warlock).

The reason why there are more cap ships in the game is becaouse the game has been here for a while, hence giving people the time to train for the caps. In the next few years you will see more Titan pilots, becaouse they have been here for 5 years or more. Eventualy when no carriers are being used, as they are now preaty much Floating coffins. People will start complayning that a BS has killed a cruiser and as such the Bs is over powerd and it need nerfing sorry (Balancing) in some way, or some noob is going to say that he is unable to kill a ship with his Velator, and there for he should have insta 20mil Skills character.
And also regarding exploitation, what you don't expect people to not to use there skills they trained for 3 years or more to make a profit, I bet you want that 36% cap recharger at under 10 mil.
And may be we should propse that a rebalancing is needed with gangs, so that peole who travel in space solo don't get ganged by more then one person. Becaouse thay might die.
Depending on the changes propsed I might just take a break from eve and see how it palys out.
To CCP, it's good to look after a new player as I was once my self but don't forget the older players who have invested time and money in to the game.
Maybe noobs should not go below the .5 sec status if they don't want to be killed.

One more,
as an example,
One time in Queensland Australia, a moronic person has decided to feed a dingo, knowing well that there is a chance he will be bitten by it, and ignoring all signs sying don't feed the dingos they bite. So he got attacked by dingos when feeding them. And the Queensland government decided to blame the dingo population by killing almost half of them.
Is this one of those examples? Kill the carrier pilot profession so that noobs don't get killed by them.
You get the gist right?
