Yeah...someone should do that. It'd be pretty cool.

Only one player run bank allows you to store even a remotely decent amount of money so far... and even that one doesn't allow for all that much. There is just no way a bank could pay well enough and still accept massive amounts of money if run by players. And if run by CCP there would be way too much isk generated.
The only way to introduce a bank that could accept massive amounts of money and tons of players would be if money could be transfered automatically using the API and if the market was far more robust.
EBANK has a hard limit on how much interest it can pay....we just don't know what it is yet, but if I had to guess...we'd hit a wall around 500 billion. Maybe lower than that, it's really hard to say.

I'm curious why 500 billion is the limit. Through active trading it can be hard to use more and more money, but through more passive means there are ways to earn at least 5% for really any amount of money. That goes up to 8-10% at times.
Perhaps most people don't know those methods... but for those that do I could see it being viable for trillions of ISK. Maybe it would cap out at 5-10 trillion... but I hardly see that being reached anytime soon anyhow.
Well, if we have a really good fund manager working for us, I imagine we could get it that high. But most of the Board has restrictions on what they can do (time wise) so untill we get a really good feel of what we're truely capable of....we're playing it very conservatively for now.

Heh.
I hope that in a year you'll be able to do much much much more than JUST deposit money in EBANK.

Was there an actual point?
Point that eventually there will be a scam and even though it might not hurt the overall bank it will definitely sting.
I'm counting on a loss at some point that will cause a write-off. That's why we're investing profits back into the Bank as a buffer to protect deposits and ensure continued investing.
We're already working under this assumption.
