CCP, please accept that the vast majority of players actually appreciate the opportunity to contribute directly to the games further development and trust that you will continue to afford us such opportunities in future.
Eve is a business and each and every one of these posters pays a monthly subscription. That in itself gives them the right to post whatever they deem fit complaining about the service they pay to receive. Or fail to receive in this case.
Clarify what torrent of disrespectful BS would make you walk off because I have a carrier full of it with your name on it.

It is time the devs realize this idea has ****ed off a significant portion of the Eve community and give in. At this point the only recourse is for some dev to make a new blog saying they've decided to leave the carriers/MSs the way they are and they're sorry for vocally expressing their ideas during a drug-induced stupor. Everyone wants to get back to playing the game and stop spamming all 843 threads bashing this idea than only a lobotomized poo-slinging tree monkey could appreciate.

Originally by: Cergorach Thousands of people complaining? There may be thousands of posts, but maybe 500 'unique' posters. Of those 500 'unique', many are alts, so we have at best a few hundred people complaining.
- Around 5% of the Carrier pilots are complaining. - Less then 0,4% of the whole Eve-Online playerbase is complaining. - Most of the folks that are complaining can afford to spend isk on subscriptions instead of RL money, so if they leave that won't directly impact CCP (only indirectly). - The folks that are complaining and demanding (instead of discussing) should read the new EULA they agreed to, you can't demand nothing, you have no rights.
- 99% of all statistics are made up. in your case, that statistic would be 100% - the only rights any of the subscribers need are the ones that say 'cancel subscription.' - i have been playing this game since about eight months after beta and have never seen this degree of response to anything.

Seriously, all you people *****ing need to get a grip and calm down, and that goes especially for members of my alliance. The first blog was a nightmare, granted. Forcing delegation of fighters was just... ugh. However this new one is much more clear and has gotten a lot dev attention. They are in here and answering your questions and all some of you can do is still whine and moan.
Carriers have been the same for two years now. A LOT of things have happened in the last two years in EVE. New ships, new tactics, new POS warfare... Anyone who has played EVE for long knows that if there's one thing you can count on it's change. Is it any wonder that CCP is looking at these ships now?
I'd personally like to see some mothership-specific stuff. The Remote ECM burst is useless. How about some other cool modules for moms? Because the fact is that, aside from EW immunity, motherships are nothing more than big carriers. Two Thanatoes can do the same thing my flagship can for a fraction of the cost and are fully insurable to boot! Anyone feel like telling me that I don't know WTF I'm talking about? Go right ahead.
Open your minds a bit and consider the potential for some of what is being suggested. Go back and actually read some of the replies in this thread and the blog. New siege-like mods? New fighters? More damage? But I might lose the ability to tank or use my ship maint array?? OHNOES!! Like I care anyway.
Bring on the new stuff, says I! Until it hits TQ or a final state on SiSi, this is all just a bunch of speculation. If CCP ****s it up, then I'll go nuts. Until then, everyone needs to stop running around screaming like someone is trying to take away your favorite doll and actually post something constructive.
- The devs have already stated their clear intentions on a carrier 'nerf' have been delayed...not eliminated.
- This topic has rec'd dev attention due to the extreme response of the player base which is how it should be. The devs want to potentially damage a favorite toy so the players responded appropriately and constructively.
- New stuff is fine. Severely damaging the capabilities of such a popular ship class is not. Some of the suggestions from the devs are fine however the overall 'nerf' is not.

Direct quote from the blog of CCP Nozh:
'So Iĉm not nerfed today but in 3 months instead?
Yes...'

Of all the suggestions Ive read in these posts there is something I havent seen and feel may be useful to mention. (Yes. Ive read them all. Every last one.)
There should be more options with configuring the ship to allow gang mates access. For example, allowing access to one feature while disallowing access to another. It isnt a big deal allowing access to fittings but when in a 100+ member gang one never knows what riff raff are mucking about. It may be Halloween but there aint no trick-or-treat going on with the goodies in my corp hanger bay.

Originally by: CCP kieron It is obvious that the last Dev Blog concerning some proposed changes to Carriers was the equivalent to kicking the proverbial ant hill.
After reading a few of these carrier rapage threads it seems a more appropriate analogy would be finding a big happy bear eating a nice juicy honeycomb then kicking him in his left testicle, tasering him is right testicle, then once he is doubled over in agony, pi$$ing in his eye followed by the performance of unnatural acts on his southermost orifice which are against the laws of nature and several articles in the Geneva Convention after which sending him a nice perfumed memo appologizing for the inconvenience and requesting he have a lovely day.
