No not a rant acutally
I'd acutally put money on this being a trick in order to sneak in a less offensive change and yet be praised for it.
My guess
Stage 1 Provoke community with an outrageous change to nerf Carriers and Moms into near non existence.
Stage 2 Once people start accepting and the others are preparing to cnacel thier accounts stage 3
Stage 3 BACKFLIP " on second though maybe you guys are right" "Ok instead of a limit of 5 you can have you original limit so the DPS wont change" ......"but you can only launch fighters while in triage seige mode" the forums rejoice the DPS stays and everyone happily goes about working on ways to once again use the full dps of carriers all be it with a bit more difficulty.
now maybe thats not the real backflip, but I'd def put money on this proposed change undergoing a few unerfings before release.
classic Psych tactic, Torture them twice a day and then they'll thank you when you only torture them once a day.

Hrmmm I was never much for those step programs , then again never was good at following chronology either 
Since I started with Bargaining how bout I be depressed so I can get drunk (like I need a reason LOL) I'll accept that my drinking was due to fictional depression that I'll deny is fictional and become angry so I can then bargain for some more depression and drink more .......
Oh wait its not a circular system ....meh its is now MWHAHAHAHA

I skilled 'Denial' and am going to stay on 'Anger' until CCP realizes just how ***** ******* STUPID this whole idea is and stops it. Any other progression through your 'Step Program' is surrender to Idiocy, and that just won't be acceptable to me.
My current dillemma is whether I should Sell my character now before the 'Carrier Pilot Crash' happens, or to Buy characters cheap now and sell them for profits after CCP comes to its senses.

To be honest, because of 2 Devs persuaded me to get the power of 2 and the coming carrier nerf, I will be getting the power of 2. CCP, I support your nerf. It is good for this game.
