Quote: Edited by: Fuse on 28/02/2004 00:02:26 The question here is... What do you guys want? Do you want people to fight less because there is 60 million isk risk involved? Why would anyone do PVP if you have not much to gain but allot to loose? Do you want implants to be removable? I think people will fight more boost the economy more IF IMPLANTS CAN BE REMOVED AND REINSTALLED. Now that implants are not given out as frequently, people that only rely on implants as their only means of making isk will have to adapt but overall effects such as ore prices battleship sales will go up. The benefits far outweigh the negative effects here. I see it from a corp management point of view and I can tell you without a doubt when people put on implants they fight ALLOT less. Sigh. Loose the 70 million isk clones.
Today's excuse is Implants. Tomorrow's excuses is already becoming Insurance. Next week will be whatever reason a person that will never participate in PvP finding some cost or expense they don't want to pay to blame for them not participating.
It's a bull excuse. The people that PvP and expect to die while doing so either don't use implants or shrug off the cost of replacing them. The people that have the most problem with the cost of replacing them are the people whose corpses have that totally shocked and dismayed look permanently frozen on their face when their pods ***** open.
Aka the carebears that are not PvPing, don't intend to PvP and get podded.
I mean its like you want corporations to oblige each other like its sex or something. Pffft I would rather **** my enemy.- Rohann

This is a MMORG it is not Greifer INC. People expect a good economy not what you feel it should be. Call them carebears or whatever lame term you may come up with. The fact remains that CAREBEARS pay for 80% of the game. Even PvP players will have a better experience with a more competitive game. I still say Loose the 70 mil isk clones. I understand your attitude here but it does not change your opinions in to facts. "Carebear" is just a label nothing more. 0.o It's not you... no wait it is you. |

You're absolutely right. This is a MMOG. And in a MMOG those that take risks advance at a faster pace than those that do not.
Player A only attacks NPCs equal to his level. He earns XP, cash and items appropriate for his level.
Player B is the same level as Player A and attacks NPCs above his level. He earns more XP, more cash and more effective items than Player A. He risks dying more to NPCs that are more dangerous, losing whatever the death penalty causes him to lose.
This is the basics of a MMOG: those that risk more, earn greater rewards. This is the basics of Carebear Inc.: I don't want to risk anything and advance as fast as those that do. Got it, yet?
You don't want to risk the 70m isk clone? Fine. But you should not train as fast as those willing to risk the 70m isk clone otherwise they have no rewards for the risks they are willing to take. Tu comprende?
And Carebears can pay for 80% of the game. But that does not mean they are entitled to 100% of the game unless they are willing to earn it. Because without taking the risks and earning the reward, THERE IS NO GAME. Just a lab experiment where the rats push a button for a food pellet. And stupid enough to pay the scientists for the eversoengaging priviledge of pushing that button for a food pellet. ARE WE FECKING CLEAR YET?

Just had to grab that quote by Jash:

While not arguing for either side or what ever, is a rat pushing a button very much different from two roosters fighting?
It's late so this might be a poor analogy but hey, everyone has to post something stupid at least once...

I'd suggest getting some rest. I sense you meant to give a subtle insult but only made me wonder if there are any*****fights going tonight close by

Im a carebear. I like empire, missions and i got implants. 4 of the to be exact. But do i want to remove them for pvp? no. Then you install the implants you get the warning.
And yes ppl, you can die time to time. Ive been podded twice. These things happens, deal with it. It should hurt to die. Buy new implants.
And you ppl whining about not playing much and bla bla bla, who cares. DonŠt get implants then if you are so scared to loose them. And i donŠt think pvp will increase just becuase the option of removing implants. Some ppl just donŠt like pvp, this is after all a game there you can do other things then pvp. If you only want pvp...play counterstrike or something
