Please let the outlaws into highsec. Everyone can still shoot them and they have the right to shoot back if attacked.
Tobias Sjodin had a post about this a long time ago. But the community needs a reminder.

If pirates get a boost, so should anti-pirates.
Hunting down pirates and then being treated like one is ridiculous.

I've an idea I'm working on, which is part of a larger idea, to soon be posted in features and ideas, that does just that exact thing, and it will still allow carebears to never worry any more than they have to now. Will post in a couple of days ... suspense. -AS |

It's not just that but we have daily numerous carebears whining on forums "omg I went into low sec and I got nailed".. So.. They want to get there, why should they be let?
It is a balance issue. We poor low sec people should get 0.0 and 0.1-0.4 sentries to shoot people with too good sec status automatically

Exactly what is wrong with low sec. Protecting against pirates either means allowing ships tobe blown up or being treated like one. And it is the exact lack of anti piracy that makes low sec so overrun with pirates that no sane person with a definete non combat build will dare stepping into low sec, thus depriving pirates of targets.
So ironically, if anti pirates are boosted, low sec will become safer, thus more people will take the risk of venturing in it, giving the remaining pirates more targets.

Im totaly with you in this one. Lowsec need some changes and antipiracy should get a huge boost. So should piracy!
Outlaws should in my opinion be easier to track down for antipirates.

Great quote.
Sucks to go anti-pirate only to get your sec status lowered (killing bad guys) and becoming one of them :(

I think that sec should gravitate toward 0.0 (from BOTH directions) over time.
Someone who killed a miner 4 years ago would clearly not be as high on Concord's list as someone who did the same thing yesterday. Similarly, someone who killed a Serpentis Officer yesterday is held in far higher regard than someone who did the same thing long ago.
This way, pirates are still punished for their piracy, but not eternally. Similarly, you can't just stockpile sec and keep it forever ... |

(Just because I love doing this)
So, if 5 years ago I randomly killed a police officer, they should really just let me go like I never did anything wrong?
So you are making time and sec status directly proportional...
So a lifetime of good or bad deeds doesn't matter as long as it was some time ago... that makes no sense at all.

Then go ratting.
Seriously, it doesn't take long to raise your sec status if you don't keep shooting people while doing it.
Lay off the guns and go after some NPCs. A week's hard work and you will have that nice Skull symbol in local in Jita.

I don't believe outlaws should be allowed into highsec, this shouldn't change. I do, however, want to see people's sec status increase for killing outlaws, and a bounty paid out by concord for the pod-kill of an outlaw, the magnitude of which would be decided by the extent to which he is an outlaw. Anti-pirates need encouraging.
As it stands, lowsec piracy is on its arse. I get one good day every so often, and after that it's just T1 rubbish with WCS fitted. Tempting more anti-pirates to come out to lowsec so I can blow them the hell up... that's what I want to see

I offered the following idea in this post six months ago. I still kinda like it and think it would work well so I offer it up again as at least part of a "solution" to low sec woes (of course may need tweaking but basic idea is sound I think).
Originally by: Imperator Jora'h Allow "Claims" to be made on Low Sec Belts: My thought here is a new deployable item that allows people to essentially stake a claim to a belt. While this item is active anyone who tries to warp to that belt will get a warning message that the belt has been claimed and they may be shot on sight. Anyone who shows in that belt can be shot on sight (essentially allowing an NBSI policy) with no sec hit. Note I said "anyone" which means just that. Guards and pirates alike can start shooting at will and no one takes a sec hit.
Of course the deployable item needs to be temporary (say an hour then deploy another one) and pricey to avoid spamming the things and only deployable in 0.4 asteroid belts and below (no point in using them in 0.0 of course). No requirement to use them either. If someone prefers to do it as it is done today they can just skip it. However, this would allow for some legitimate guarding of mining ops without the guards worrying about sec hits and pirates can likewise attack for a change without a sec hit.
