i was just wondering. you make a crappy T2 bs, fair enough you want the balance to stay. good good..
but then ehh.. WTF is up with the heavy dictors?! they are hacs with the capability of locking everything around them down permanently?! O.o talk about overpowering the ship, just by a bit or two.
besides i really feel with the people that loves destroyers. they are totally obsolete now :S you will as good as never see them again. as if a they where not underpowered enough as it was :S
well just my wondering about the change..
ps: the skill req of bs T2 seems a bit low :S compared to command ships for instance... but well their effectiveness equals the skill req.... sadly..

Crappy T2 BS? Hardly. Both of the gallente ones have their uses. The kronos will have 4 extra high slots for nos/remote reps/tractor beams/salvagers and do more damage than a hyperion with its bonus. The Sin will infiltrate enemy territory and allow a fleet to jump right on top of it.
I have a feeling that these ships are going to be outrageously expensive, at least for the first month or two but after that I might consider getting one for myself.

I suspect even longer considering how popular such ships will be in alliance terratory.

heavy dictors have zero drones, and suffer some serious consequences when activating their IDS. They have to stay within web/scram/neut (heavy neut will drain a cruisers cap in 2-3 cycles btw) range in order to do their job. Combat ability of hac's? hardly.

Man the Marauders will be kick ass, especially the amarr and gallente with those web+damage bonuses they will dish out some serious pain to their targets.
As to the new dictors, they will loose speed as soon as they pop their bubble and regular dictors pop it and have plenty of room to escape so all seems to be balanced..ftm. _____________________________________

Maybe some of you should go on the test and compare a cerb(no drone bay anyway) with an onyx, then try and make the leap of imagination to think "what if someone fits this out as a normal pvp ship" then maybe you could understand what the op is getting at.
BTW A onyx has more pg, cpu, better resists and pretty nice dmg bonus, the same highs and a extra mid.

i think the idea of them was to move with supercaps, keeping them bubbled. the high resists are probably to tank doomsdays or something but i doubt a heavy dictor can tank a support fleet, smartbombs and a bucket of fighters

I think thats understating it. It'll get smacked in the face by 1 'ceptor with a point and said capital ships fighters.

right now on SIS i lost 2:1 in my cerb against the mini heavy dictor. But just to say, he had all tackling, tank, speed. While i to win the last fight had to completely tank my cerb to the max and skipp all essential pvp mods. Imho they have a lil to good tanks and still to good speed while bubblin..

they'll have this extreme capability until their price normalizes. then they'll be nerfed.
seriously though, the reason for T2 is extra special abilities that come with the ships T2 required skills, not buffer armor and weapons, unless thats what you're getting T2 for. they shouldnt be better and then also receive specialty bonuses. thats just overpowered.

test server != live server
The current stats of these ships on the test server are not necessarily the stats they will have when the expansion goes live. At least wait till you've seen the actual stats on the live server before you start whining for a nerf.

nah you got it all wrong, you go on the test server, read the stats and go directly to the forums where you whine for pages on end that somthing that no1 can fly yet is overpowered - thats the eve forum ballance troll way.

Funny thing is that while you think it doesn't help it does :| Fool you are ;p That's exactly what's supposed too happen :| You go and try them out, and when you notice how unbalanced a ship/mod is you go cry on the forums.
It gets nerfed aka "balanced" and all works out ;p better then it hitting tranquility :S Having onyx be better then it's hac counterpart is sad ;p

Why wait? Go with what you see (AND what was in the devblog outlining the stats) so it's changed BEFORE it hits tq ;p

they can tank and hit like a HAC, HOWEVER, they cannot be remote repped, they themselves cannot escape from their bubble, and they will move very slowly. basicly, activating the mobile bubble will effectively paint a giant "SHOOT ME" sign over their heads. their ability to take more than a single shot will probably be the only reason they would be prefferable to the ability of a sabre to drop a bubble and warp out within seconds. ========================================== Iy

Originally by: Buyerr stuff I won't bother responding to
1) dictors= cheap bubbles (so, no... they haven't been replaced)
2) heavy dictors= expensive 'sorta' bubbles (have to see how they're used, tbh...give it a month or so once the change goes live)
3) damage bonus= pop those inty's/frigs holding you down so you can do your job; after all, your mwd/ab speed sucks if you activated your warp thingie, so you need a way to quickly kill the inevitable bum-rush of webbers zooming towards you so those BS's locking you will miss a bit more often...
4) hac resists= well, not quite hac resists, but mostly... you can't be remote repped, so you're on your own... you need to tank the damage somehow...hmmm... ZOMG I KNOW! let's build in some resists so I can tankzors!1!!
5) ?????
6) Profit!
As for the BSs: the black ops skills are pretty nasty unless you've been aiming at a capital for a while... the mission ships are pretty easy... the price? not so much ;)
I wish the Heavy Dics were HACs... with it's PG, I could put a full set of neutrons AND with 4 mids have my cake and eat it too versus my Deimos. Tragically, no second damage bonus, no drone bay and lower resists. Damn ;( __________________________________________________
