Get your character to 10m SP train for carrier and ceptor. Ceptor skills @ V for running gatecamps, and not getting pwned by other noob ceptors. If you cant get it at V immediately, find the fastest ceptor you can fly, and fit MWD / stabs. Your speed will get you through any bubble, stabs will make sure that the tackler(s) that have the speed to catch you, wont tackle ya.
Carrier for once you make it back to empire so you can jump stuff in and out and don't have to worry bout goin down to empire as you can just jump to it.
For skill upgrades I just use jumpclones. Jump into empire, train skill, and 24 hrs later jump back.
*shrug* my 2isk on the topic.

Just to make this easily understandable to about any 11year old and upwards.
Gatecaming is like Camping with an AWP in Counter-Strike. It might be considered lame by some people that lack skills to take them out or avoid them but it is still a part of the game. You got two options, Deal with it or get lost.

OK, this is what I think about it.
If you run any kind of 0.0 operation you want to be as save as possible. A gate bubble is the only way to keep your space clear.
Once the target (in this case you) is away from the gate and has a cloak fitted, it is invulnerable and yet cause a thread to the people in that system, as you have no clue what ship they are in or what the fitting is like. Hell it could have been a t1 frig used as a scout, but maybe it was a t1 frig with a cyno field generator. I hope you see the problem.
And the best way to prevent jumping into a gate camps with warp disruptor bubbles is to stop jumping a 0.0 gate. Assume that there is a dictor or mobile bubble behind every gate.
And as several others before me told you, 0.0 space is where the "big boys" play. You fly around, hope for some fights. Sometimes you outsmart the enemy, sometimes the enemy outsmarts you. It is about playing together as a team, intel, coordination. That is why it is so much fun.

Originally by: snake03 OK, what are our options when you just have to get by a gate? Sounds like a game mechanic that is restricting game play, needs looked into.
First: 0.0 is totally unforgiven.
Second: a warp bubble is what it is and the game mechanics offer some options.
MWD to gate and pray. My last experience was that it's probably better to wait the 30 seconds and MWD after auto-uncloak. I MWDed fast enough but there was a +session change in progress˝ message. They killed my ship and my pod was also stucked by that message. Su*ked! Petitioned it but CCP saw no problem in their logs. Su*ked!
Fit a cloak, check the camp situation, figure out the best gap between the ships, unlcoak and press immediately cloak ... and pray that they missed your short appearing ship position. Depending on your ship it's ofc a pain with chewing fists. My speed Rifter can sneak out with 153m/s. A BC/BS is super-slow and the chance to sneak out aligned and warp off is low.
Jumping in 0.0 means: get always prepared for a hopeless fight and die with honor.
As you see it's not really restricted and bubbles are just illustrating how bad 0.0 can be.

I love this game and the warp bubbles! Even when I switch to my carebear (no combat skills) merchant/mining alt, I love the fact that player mechanics make my life difficult and force me to think about how I am going to achieve a certain goal. Only the other night I snuck my freighter into low sec to deliver some much needed fuel for my carrier. My heart was pounding and I'd have probably smashed up my keyboard, consumed by rage had I not made it through, but I did, and that's why I love the game so much.
All the risks are their to make this game exciting and althought I planned my trip well, the fact that I could lose my freighter at any point made the fact I pulled it off even more rewarding. If I could trundle down to 0.0 in a freigher without risk, there would be no point.
That said I also subscribe to the player choice model and think there should be risk free zones within the game but the rewards should be much greater in high risk areas.
To the OP, if there's a bubble blocking a gate you need to get through, either accept you aint going to get through or enjoy the game of trying to time your attempt. MAke some friends and attempt to take the campers down, or simply get some intel on who is camping and see if they are prepared to let you pass for a price. It's all part of the game.
And finally, remember, at one point warp bubbles could be used in low sec but now they are restricted to 0.0.

Just a thought, but maybe CCP should further limit Bubbles to only allow use in a system which your alliance owns. This way they would be still be useful to any Alliance wanting to protect a hard fought system. but would be useless to Lame ****ed Pirate's that need 10 friends and a warp bubble and an unsuspecting Noob to get a Kill. Also it confuses me why anybody would enjoy sitting by a gate for hours on end popping ships. Surely its much more fun and rewarding to win a fight you have a chance of losing. Thats just my opinion. On the other hand, make some friends and start targetting Gate camps, kinda easy too the BIG red systems showing lots of ship destruction generally have a camp, take some friends clear the camp and look for the next 1, probably a good earner too as most of these lame campers will have nice bounties due to never attempting a fight they'll lose and annoying countless others. but not all campers are Lame if its for protection it is understandable.

I'm only about 1 month old in this game but i already love it (except for the fact when i get disconnected for now reason but that's another story) .... i remember going in a 0.0 system like 1 week after I started playing, I can tell you it was a very painfull experience :)) I jumped in the system and i was surrounded* by enemies ! There are probably lots of you who have at home a surround sound system, u know how the sound seems to come from every side, now imagine the sounds waves are enemy ships, that's the gate camp i ran into and i suppose that's how a gate camp usually is :) I stayed cloaked for about 15 seconds, hoping .... just hoping I might get out of it in one piece but when i saw how all those battleships / battlecruisers etc etc were orbiting the gate at max speed so they wouldnt give me a way to escape I said a little prayer, sent an email to my mom saying "your little boy is not coming home tonight", I closed my eyes and uncloaked .... i opened them about 2 seconds later ... I was dead :)) Dont know what weapons they had that targeted me so fast but anyway I was dumb to go in 0.0 with a Merlin frigate ... yeah, a Merlin .... however this experince was good for me and i gained more knowledge from this single incident than from a full week of playing. No mather how "bad" these camps are they are part of the game so my advice to the other rookies out there is "hate it, learn it, love it !" Hope i didnt bored u with my story but I had to spit it out

For those who say gate camping is for lamers etc, and how can people have fun sitting on a gate for hours on end.
In a lot of cases we're not doing it for fun. We're doing it to protect our space. Space we have fought hard for, and want to protect. Whether its protecting our miners/ratters, or even other every day people going about their business, perhaps doing logistics (pos refueling etc)... its like going to the army. We do it because its our space and we're protecting our people.

okay get rid of warp bubbles but either...
1) Create a new feature to allow ships to follow others into warp and fire at them while in warp also gates will allow you to jump even if you agressed someone. 2) Disallow warp to zero and make instas an exploit.
Why are you still reading? Its over. Continue to the next post.

ZOMG BUBBLE.
Counters:
1- Wait until you decloak, then burn back for the gate under MWD because you should be using a scout anyway. Let them aggro, then jump through.
Or you can go for the real counter to a bubble:
2- Bring a bigger gang and/or kill every last mother effer there. :) ----- CEO, Astrum Contract Services Group

yes great thinking [/sarcasm] i mean really, in which our alliance owns? u assume that 1. Every1 in 0.0 is in an alliance 2. that some 0.0 entrances u cant claim ownership (Stain, Syndicate, and other pirate faction areas) and we do it cuz thats what we FEEL like doing, or we were told too cuz summit else is going on, and we also do it for the chance (see risk vs reward) to get rich off some dumb fool who decided he'd be dumber and jump into 0.0 without a scout or escort into our camp, carrying billions of isk worth of stuff.
so to summarize, some of 0.0 U CANT CLAIM its pirate faction owned, and were not allowed to profit off other peoples stupidity?
P.S not every1 is in an alliance that owns the area (see greifing the enemy) how can i disrupt some1s 0.0 economy if i cant drop a bubble on the gate cuz i dont own the system, say im goons fighting BoB, and im in delve, how the hell can i stop ne1 if i cant setup bubble camps to stop them? duh, thus u are teh fail at eve, and ill take ur stuff.
