Trinity 2 is coming soon and my computer is long overdue to be upgraded - problem is my motherboard sucks beyond belief so my options are limited so I think in preparation for the upcoming changes in EVE, and for my own sanity, I will trash my current rig and spend ridiculous sums of money on a custom built high performing gaming computer. My question is if there is a place I can find out what Graphics Cards EVE works well with, or could someone tell me. I was also considering getting my hands on some Intel Quad-Core CPU or something along those lines, however I was wondering if EVE will even let you make use of that kinda stuff, or if it will in the upcoming expansions.

I have an older system that I built. AMD 939 4000+ with nVidia 6600GT from Chaintech.
With this older rig I can play Eve on one monitor in Window mode and SecondLife on the other monitor. The only problems I ever have are when SL starts to consume all my bandwidth if I teleport into a new zone.
In other words, Eve currently doesn't require a high end system. If Eve doesn't stress out on my AMD 4000, I doubt it will touch your quad core.
I am curious to see what the minimum specs are for the expansion. I have an old computer from which I log in to simply adjust skill training. It's an AMD750 with an ATI 7500. Hopefully that will at least be able to load in station up.

Currently EVE does not push your computer to extreme limits which is good, IMO this game has very good performance and is one of the most well made games I have ever seen. Problem is that Trinity 2 is going to push that limit and in the future they will be released planetary and station environments. I have seen a demo video of station environments and I don't even have to get a list of minimum requirements to tell me that my computer can't keep up with it.

Either way, minimums or not, this computer is growing more and more unbearable every day so I just need this upgrade real bad, not just for EVE.

i've been an amd fan for awhile but atm i'd suggest goin intel
Core 2 Duo, Nvidia 88xx, 2 gigs of decent ram, and a decent mobo should do you well for eve and other things. If you want to wait i believe the 9x series of nvidia cards is coming out soon and its supposed to kick ass. also, don't get an ati card.
