This is honestly the hottest thing (not yet) on the internets. GG web team. CCP Nullarbor | Exotic Dancer |

Confirming that the 3D spaceship gallery is mind-blowing. You can spin the ships! CCP Paradox | EVE Quality Assurance | Team Super Friends @CCP_Paradox |

I've seen this website with my own two eyes and it's pretty boss...I'm very excited about it!
We have a video in the making where we'll talk about it some more and show you lots of footage so you see it in action. Then you won't have to wait long to play with it yourselves :)

Phoenix Tyrox wrote:Those interactive features, will they be Flash or HTML5?
HTML5 !
Both the star map and the ship gallery are using WebGL (through html5 canvas).

J Kunjeh wrote:Jovan Geldon wrote:I'd be careful about the whole "playstyle" thing, it might give the impression to a newbie that they have to conform to one of these predetermined styles, when obviously that isn't the case at all. I think you have a good point. Maybe in addition to including these awesome new playstyle screens, you can also include a page with a CCP version of the (player made?) "what to do in Eve" chart? I don't have the link, but I'm sure someone here can provide it.
Yep these are good points and something I feel aware of as well. It's much appreciated to get this kind of feedback on it too, so thank you both. It's a balance between getting across that you can define your own path/gameplay style and that this can change (or be a mix) like you say, and also being able to give people an insight into what that means through showing them tangible examples.

I am tired of logging into the forums just to have to re-log into secure.eveonline.com or some other part of the site that requires me to log on. As a web developer myself I find it absolutely MIND BOGGLING that EVEs websites are so segregated like that.
We hear you and are working towards this :)

Louis deGuerre wrote:Excellent work ! Haven't had time to check, but does ingame browser be able to dipslay the 3D gallery ? Theoretically I should think so. Either way HTML 5 is the way to go. Pro tip : Make the first screenshot you see something a little more visually appealing than the market data display I know we play Spreadsheets Online be you're only supposed to discover that AFTER you've been hooked
Hahahaha, I did it on purpose, apparently some people like graphs in dev blogs, so I put a graph in mine for fun :p CCP Alice -á Web Architect

Couldn't help but notice the Right upper corner saying "play Eve for Free" is that a referring vaguely to plexing or are we gonna start a new F2P discussion in the future ?
It is just a free trial ad I believe... a slightly misleading one, but hey... marketing...
Yeah I just want to confirm this is not referring to plexing, F2P or anything like that. It's the "try eve now" link that takes you to the Getting Started page I mentioned in the bullet points. CCP Alice -á Web Architect

Great feedback, thanks everyone! And we will be doing updates after it launches, there's quite a few things on the teams "do want" list that are improvements and tweaks as well.
Vera Algaert wrote:A large part of the "EVE Support" section (petitions, API keys) is notably missing from your plans for the new eveonline.com site.
Will this functionality (finally) be integrated into Account Management? The support website you're talking about will be integrated into the EVE Community website. It falls under the "what comes next" point in the blog:
* Where it makes sense, we will merge content from other websites like Support, EVElopedia, EVE Gate, etc. into EVE Community in various phases

Wow I love some of the suggestions for the career path / gameplay styles ! Taking it all on board :)
The new eveonline.com has lots of backstory woven into the content (CCP Delegate Zero has done a brilliant job), which is great. So when it came to converting all the pages on "old" eveonline.com into a more organized Community specific website, putting the backstory pages in the archive was more a temp holding place than desire to kill them. All okay now though, they're not there any more.

Takara Rourke wrote:Chigger Troutslayer wrote:Still looking for something I used on the old website. I think it was "My Character". You could log in an then go to a screen showing the 3 character slots, from there you would go to a page listing your skills and a section where you could export personal and corp wallet journals, member list ect.
Anyone know where to get at this now? I too would like to know where this feature is now located. My attempt to petition it is going rather poorly since I have not been able to locate a GM that seems to have been aware of this feature. It was there on the 4th of this month. On the 11th of this month, it had disappeared from the new website. Where have the "My Character" options been relocated?
On the Community website, click the link in the footer for "Archive" and then in the left menu near the bottom is a link to the My Character page.
