I would like to know if there as a way to set one keyboard button to fire all my weaypons at once, or maybe just autocannons, missles, etc.
I have been on the game for about 3 weeks and I like it and will continue to play.
I am getting older in real life and it would be great if there was a macro that would let me fire a set of slots.
I am hoping there is a way or that they are planning on adding this feature in the future. It would mean less wear and tear on my arm etc. as I am getting older in real life and my wrist, elbow, and arm are hurting me a bit after I play (g).

none that i am aware of. although you could go out and get a G15 keyboard. they are programmable and the Dev's have given them the ok to use. Be thankful that you aren't red-green color blind. I can barely tell when a module is active.

Of course, i know where the red light is. Though when the put the lights all sideways that's annoying. It's not so much the coloring that throws me, it's the contrast...ok it's the color too but it's better to show than explain. Take a look below

Eve at -50% Red and -50% Green

I showed an easy example, because there were 2 different colors next to each other. Try a quick glance during combat and not having opposing colors close and it gets difficult.

Hunh. Friend of mine from high school wanted to go into Armor when he joined the army ... but he had some color blindness - so he served his two tours of duty in Vietnam from the desk of a finance clerk. (Yes ... I'm old too).

Any way ... as to the original question. You do have a "Shortcuts" tab in your Esc menu.
Here, for example, Alt-F3 is set to Medium Power Slot 3 as default on my system. Flying my little Merlin out of base to test this ... hitting Alt-F3 turned on my Afterburners - which is what I have in that slot.
F1-F7 are listed as Activate High Power slot 1, etc., etc.
Theoretically ... if you had a programmable keyboard - or mouse - you might be able to map one button to execute all those functions and fire all your guns at once. You'd have to try it out on your equipment to see if it would work or not.
I checked and my keyboard and mouse, as they are, don't allow multiple key's to be programmed - though I've had some game controlers that did.
As a work around, I went out and tried just hitting the first four function keys all at the same time using four fingers.
For some reason ... my F2 key wouldn't respond if the F1 key were pressed too ... but the other three keys did all activate my turrets. And I could reliably ripple down the line rapidly turning them on or off.
*shrug*
Don't know if that helps.

I use a Nostromo works well, I don't set up auto macros since I don't think thats legal, I just use it to avoid the keyboard :)

Get a Logitech G15 keyboard, you can program those extra keys to do exactly what you're looking for.
