ok, so maybe i am "too good" for this game and proceeded to fast? if i am not wrong, i am around 4 month old, doing same crap since day one (missions) because out of all the ways of making ISK to build pvp ships, that's the less boring one... notice how i say "less boring one" not "not boring one" i did lvl1 in a rifter lvl2 in a rupture lvl3 in a hurricane lvl4 in a pest and phoon... this, for over a month already...
"ship-wise" there is no other progression possible for me now. i need to make ISK to be able to play the suposed to be fun part of this game: pvp (aka: spend 20M in a ship, go 15 jumps to XYZ and lose it in 30 seconds OR roam around 4 hours without doing anything)
so, while older guys already have more options of things to do (better skills, more ISK, better ships&fit, more relations aka possible 0.0) they get even more options now, while the new guys are sitting on their sofa watching TV while their skills get up, as there is absolutely NOTHING NEW to do.
i could leave this game and just log in for skill changes and start playing in 6 month and i would NOT MISS A THING. that0s the problem.
Allow me to assure you you are not "too good" for this game. Far from it. Obviously, the problem is your own lack of balls to go out there and start shooting people. You say you've been doing missions forever.. if you are willing to leave the safety of high and low sec, it doesn't take long to make enough isk to buy a few pvp ships.
Make friends. Learn stuff about pvp combat. Stop whining about the ships you wouldn't fly in pvp anyway because they are far too expensive.
Do you really think that if you had a T2 BS it would make PVE more fun for you? Trust me, the allure of being in a new ship fades quickly after you realize you aren't challenging yourself in any way.
This game is about taking risks, and most of the enjoyment from it is within the moment when you are unsure if you have guaged said risks properly (ie are about to explode).
Maybe its not for you.
