yeh i guessed that but i was looking at the minmiat wepons and they don't use cap so you could have a slight edge in tank and that projectiles do difernt dmg so wud they have an edge in gang fighting is what i would do?

Hi there.
I fly mostly Gallente ships (and sometimes caldari and minamatar too just for giggles or i am bored)
And sure, Gallente is classed as the "I WIN" race, but sadly this is not the case, or maybe thats good for balance.
I fly all gun-boats of gallente and some of the pure drone ones too(Hype, mega, domi, astarte, eos, demios, ishtar, myrmidon, and so on) And to be honest, they are not overpowered(not that anyone stated that in this thread but they are usualy classed like that)
Instead their THEORETICAL DPS is extreme, hell loads of mega and astarte pilots goes over 1000 raw DPS with no problem. BUT(!) this 1000DPS is realy held back by the range of blasters. As you will have to travell right next to your oponent, exposing yourself to webbs, nos, neuts yeah pretty much anything so there is no turning back.
Also the pure drone boats have DPS that can easely be destroyed (my deimos shot down ogre IIs with 2 volleys each) But these ships are in general very good, so only a + for gallente.
Minamatar on the other hand got the range and falloff of Acs to let them have an edge in gang pvp. they can(theoreticly) reach out to 30km with falloff and STILL do a good ammount of damage while being fast, agile and relatively safe. Vaga is a great example of this, and if fast, hit and run tactics are your thing then thats your goal.
Though if you want to be the guy who most of the time dies, deal most damage and only good for the pure gank-squads then gallente blaster boats might be for you.
Hope this helped somewhat. -----------------------------

Caldari all the way. They are the only race that's balanced and doesn't need nerfing like gallente drone boats and minmatar speed ships like the vagabond ( which should be nerfed soon)

I'd say minmatar - I cross trained from amarr about a year ago.
They are just waaaay more fun to fly about in - what other reason do you really need |

Dont go for minmatar....those ships tend to fall apart if you dont bring enough ducktape into a fight ========================= Weko Hast > fill a domi up with light suicide drones and drone navigation links arbalesttom > rofl!!! emo-drones?

If you want to bet on the numbers, go for Amarr. Not because they're good, but rather because they're overdue for a buff.

I had the same problem once. Could not decide between either of them. So I trained them both.
end result is a mean combo for either a vindi or mach.
but tbh I have more fun with my gal ships than anything else. Your signature exceeds the maximum allowed filesize of 24000 bytes -Sahwoolo Etoophie ([email protected]) |

The only reason I didn't train Minmatar was because of their butt-ugly scrapheap ships. Seriously... I tried to salvage a phoon once. Nah j/k. They're fine ships, but Gallente is mostly FTW at the moment.
