I can't get online at chaos...
Getting checking status / timeout.
Tried now and like 6 hours ago.
But eve-i.com shows it as running.
So is the chaos server down or are there any other reason why I can't connect?

Just logged on with no problem, so it might be something with connection/route on your side... o.o

Dalman i get this stupid problem alot, although chaos is NOT down, it still shows that its down to me when i try to log on.
no idea what causes it yet, i even made a thread on the general discussion but no-one seemed to know why.
So if you have more luck then i did plz post it.

I've been getting this all day today and yesterday too. I was on for a bit yesterday, when the lag was absolutely HORRIBLE. After being "stuck" for 5 minutes in the middle of a fight I logged off. I got back on a few hours later, but now I get "Checking status..." forever.

OK, status update... I got it to show "server down" at once just a few minutes ago - I assume it actually was down. Now it's up again and I get "checking status...".
I'm running 1401.
Edit: Erm.
TQ client shows Server Down.
Chaos client (1401) shows Checking Status...
EVE-I shows 27 users.
Wtf?

If this happens to me I just reset my adsl modem and it works fine.

CCP needs to find out what they changed..... It took a few days but I have isolated it to my D-link wireless router DI-624 rev c. If I connect directly to DSL all is fine.. .go behind the wireless link and no EVE... client = 1389. Location = QWEST DSL USA

I've been having the same problem for the last couple of days. Now instead of getting caught in the "checking status" it just reads server down

Got ADSL in The Netherlands and got same problem. upgrading my Chaos client to the new 1401 didnt work

yeh i am having the same problem i go to log in and it says checking status and then time runs out but i can get on in the morning and just after downtime but not anyother time this has bin happening to me for days

Chaos was one of EVE's early test servers before Exodus was released. I'll leave you two to think about that...
