How about you talk to them BEFORE you take yourself out to space they control? Space they fought for and fight more for every day? If you want to mine in 0.0, join a 0.0 corp, or make friends with a 0.0 corp, or rent a system, do something to prepare the way before you just blindly jump into EC- (Or wherever) like so many others.
