Break up one full-length game in parts and charge you extra for it?
Right, so under ú8 per game is a wtfripoff
They're trying to release shorter games, for less cash (these two they've nailed perfectly) on a more regular basis (uhm...)
Problem comes when valve are total perfectionists, and spend way too long on a game
But the price? what are you on about? It was ú26 for the Orange Box - Hl2, Episode 1, Episode 2, Portal, Team Fortress 2.
If you had none of the games before, that's ú5.20 each. If you had HL2, without Ep 1, that's ú6.50 each. If you had both HL2 and Episode 1, then it's ú8.60 each.
Such a damn ripoff, these valve people! ---

This can not be!
Just like HL2, the release of Ep2 / TF2 / Portal on the 360 were financial flops (they made profit, but really it was insignificant compared to the PC versions). So if valve want to cut all their funding, then yeah they'll release it on Consoles only
Even the x-box fanboys I know bought it on PC... ---

Valve has stated that the Episodes ARE HL 3. You'll be wanting HL4 after they're done.
That man is lying The episodes are most certainly not HL 3, they are a progression past hl2. HL3 will be diiffereennttt. New engine, new location, new characters (mostly).
Oh and, Half-Life is written as a trilogy, so there won't be a HL4 ---
