If the point is to put more people in 0.0 this really isn't going to help.

Depends. If it all results into massive amounts of people needed as minions to fuel the needs of the few uber folks again .. possibly even with a control drive for low sec (Aridia is a good case) then there will be a lot more people pouring into deep space, especially with a temporary beef in reward because the expensive goodies won't come out of deep space so easily for a while and thus driving up the prices.
Combined with the whole new idea of making it easier again to attack defensive structures like sovereignty, outposts and such, it'll be bloody, and interesting.
And those people will be thrown out of deep space pretty quickly too. The bar for staying in 0.0 has been raised, yet the price of admission stays the same: dreadnoughts.
Edit: pretty irrelevant now, http://oldforums.eveonline.com/?a=topic&threadID=627120&page=10#278

You balance your idea of 'what the game should be' with what your playerbase wants. Otherwise you end up with a great idea, no subscribers and wondering where it all went wrong.

Originally by: G3ghj And i dont understand all the whining for the carriers anyway. Lion had some good points. And if the cargo of the carriers goes bust and some POSs go offline its just good for you. Everybody moans how boring POS warfare is and all because there are so much POSs. Now the amount of POSs will decrease because its not so easy anymore to fuel them and everybody starts the whine for a better logistics to keep the POSs alive?
The needed POS warfare fix is already coming with modules unanchoring when the POS is destroyed. Having to destroy 75 small guns(that cant be target painted) is a goddamn nightmare.

That increased opportunity cost is going to be passed on to everyone else.
And SWG is pretty similar to EVE so really stop screaming.
