People whine soo much because they both A) Love the game soo very deeply and B) This game a bit more realer than alot of other games, even other MMO's like wow.
Competition plays a part. If your icebolt gets nerfed by a few damage, who cares, you epeni isnt as big. In EVE, that few damage might have a severe effect on your ability to survive, make isk, enjoy the game, whatever. Not to mention the time investment people have put into such ships like the Eos (4 months for me) or carrier's (months for many)

There is lots of whining because:
1. People keep quiet when things are ok
2. Whining in the past has successfully gotten things changed i.e. theres a history of it working
3. Likely 95% of eve players don't use the forums, many people only come here to whine and don't use the forum for anything else
4. For lots of people, eve is their life, they don't have any other hobbies, commitments etc. It is the same with a lot of mmo players. This means tiny faults and problems with the game most others could ignore result in screaming cries for something to be changed from a small but vocal minority. If you do nothing else except play eve, the problems matter a lot, basically.
5. People are stupid, most people are not the amazing uber pvp gods they proclaim, they would rather something was changed about the game, than improve, adapt, or think up a way to overcome a problem themselves

whiners appear everywhere. some have a valid argument some do not.
the khanid mk2 came from a valid idea and now those ships are seeing more use.
the paladin on SISI has been given a boost due to threads asking for a change and giving some ideas on what the change could be
those are the sorts of "whine" threads I like to see, where the OP says "heres a problem whos got ideas?" and people give them, instead of seemingly endless posts from a small group of people all demanding the "I win button"

Whining is human nature,its going to be in every mmo.
Now as for"everybody asking to nerf this or boost that being a whiner,"i wouldnt say that,alot of them are but at the same time there are some that are correct.

If Eve is so horrible why do so many people play?
And why do they usually leave after 7 months? It's easy to figure out what happens by then. It's not easy to fix that in a way that doesn't end up in a massive flame fest.
