I don't really think anyone cares about likes... although I have a vague curiosity about the script being run to automatically go through the forums and auto assign likes.

I'm torn between being mildly amused by them at times, to occasionally feeling pity for those that use them...

I wasn't really accusing you of that, not that there is anything truly "wrong" with it to begin with.

Although I can see potential in having a contest to see which is more effective... the "like" script or the Goonfleet "like" juggernaut.

My bet would go on Goonfleet, but I'm an old fashioned kind of guy.

In an interesting turn of events I am allowed to solicit Goonfleet for "likes," thereby pretty much guaranteeing that I will be on the candidate list for the CSM; but, I am not allowed to solicit Goonfleet for "votes," thereby making the chance of me actually being elected a far less certain affair.

I have no problem with people begging for Likes. Also I think the Likes thread is actually helpful because some of the people in the thread are experts in Likes and if you need Like expertise you can always go there.

...A few other posters, to include myself and Alikchi, just post a lot and as a result have a high number of likes spread across a high number of posts.

In less than 24 hours you pulled more than 300 more. By being popular?? lol. If you're going to stand as CSM the FIRST thing you need to do is tell the truth. Nobody is dumb enough to believe this (Well. Besides you).

This is the one reason why the whole CSM selection based on "likes" is totally ****** and any Eve member who bases their CSM choices and votes on this system deserves everything they get.
