CCP, why are you doing this? EVERY tech2 module I look at has more CPU fitting requirement than the tech1 equivalent: Both the Sensor Booster II and Cap Recharger II use 50% more than the I... How are we going to be able to fit any of those, especially in ships with low CPU (like my Apoc for example...) Combine this to the upcoming nerf on existing popular items (Capacitor Power Relays) and the agonizing slow speed of release of new blueprints, and you really shouldn't be talking about a "new age in technology", unless you were talking about a return to the Dark Ages! The ONLY solution I can see is create new skills like Advanced Engineering and Advanced Electronics, to enable us to upgrade our ships as well... Make them lvl 5 requirement in the basic skill and rank 8, I don't care, but at least give us something! This is just getting ridiculous...

Once Tech 5 hits we'll all be able to fit only one module

Zincol: Get back in your Ibis with your basic miner if this is the game you want to play (you can try Pong as well, I heard it was fantastic)
Omani: Exactly the point I was trying to make, thank you.

bah too many whiners on the forum lately...
if ya want better items sacrifice some others if ya want a sensor booster tech 2 then you should perhaps not try to add 8 tachions...
get over it you cant have everything you want, the challange is to get a setup you like with not having everything of the best or so... ---------------------------------- some of my ideas: Very Long Balancing Suggestion !!! and My Ideas for EVE |

Thanks for your useful insight. Have you read my post? I was not whining but asking a valid question, and even suggesting a possible solution.
So now go away and if this all you have to say, troll somebody else's posts.

They might be easier to fit if you use tech 2 CPU upgrades or if you use tech 2 ships. But honestly it's good that they up the CPU/PG use of modules for tech 2 otherwise npc loot would be useless.

sorta dumb if u dont see the purpose of such balancing. i agree with zincol... (t2 battleships will probably have better CPU would my guess, no?)

CPU is always the killer, u need more powergrid, u fit power diagnostics.
But when it comes to cpu, fitting low slot cpus wastes slots.
but i think tech2 needing the extra cpu is good thing:). .

I guess you'll have to get a tech 2 ship to really use tech 2 items.
You can fill a tech1 ship with tech 1 items... maybe you'll be able to fill a tech 2 ship with tech 2 items... and maybe a tech 3 ship with tech 3 items.
Or gasp... maybe a tech 2 ship with tech 1 and tech 3.
Tech 2 is better... they cost more, this is one of the drawbacks, they will also be harder to fit, also a drawback. but you can't have the greatest of everything.
Wait till tech 2 cruisers hit the market... by then there will be lots of new tech 2 stuff and the prices will ::hopefully:: be down, then try it out and see if everything works out. I want a reason to get a tech 2 cruiser, not just slightly better speed and armor... but the ability to fit specific tech 2 mods, that i couldn't otherwise do with a tech 1 thing.
See where i'm going with this? i hope that made sense.

It's a nice idea in theory, but some of the new interceptors only have 100CPU. Which sucks majorly. If you want good small weapons on them (280mm artillery, 150mm railgun, medium beam laser) you are going to be having some fitting problems with your other slots.
Maybe the other tech2 ships will have more CPU, but I havn't looked on eve-db lately to check.

Uhm, ships don't have tech levels. My theory is that T2 = Elite Frigates, T3 = Elite Cruisers, T4 = Elite Battleships and T5 = Titans. Makes sense imho.
I know I know off topic. Sorry just had to correct that.
