Ironic that Iron and Invictus have come to B-7....
Oxide will do what it can but as the epic changing landscape of the wacky Drone regions changes we will have to take a hard look at who we have selected as "friends". Lots of Pew pew in the last few months as Ceo of Oxide. MJ was fun but showed how faulty the MAD pact was Smashkill and Co gave MAD pact a nice bloody nose in that small war. Since then Oxide has pew pewed with a good host of old reds and some old blue's since some of our friends changed from "blues" to grey. So no matter what becomes of OXIDE or the Drone regions great politcal and pew pew battles with folks.
I have no smack to talk or flashy comebacks. But props to my Oxide members that do show up day in and day out.

Oxide pilots Please stop posting if you can restrain yourselves please.
To be honest and frank its not clear to what is going on.
DMC Gave the offer to merge with them but when I said no they seemed to have distanced themselves from us and have stopped Comms and have tightened their Defense of their space which is best for them I am sure. But we want to defend the little we own and take the good with the bad. So good luck to all DMC pilots.
Iron and Invictus have left Oxide space after some short pew pew. GF and GL
Pure alliance's Nano and speed gangs still are hitting our haulers and such always a good fight. Hats off to your tactics and skill Breanna and co.
Atlas gave us a option to join them which was very nice but I think we will try and defend our space. Btw thank you Bobby I appreaciated the offer you were honest and forth right.
Roadkill- John and Scooter1 Gave me a good chance to merge with Atlas and save B-7 but I think OXIDE wants to keep on trucking and are willing to go down with the ship so to speak. John Blackthorn and Scooter have been honest and up front with me as far as I can tell so thanks.
Smash (Peoke) gave OXIDE 24 hours to merge into them or be set neutral at the end of that time.
Many Oxide pilots have pointed out that this means Smashkill and what Frege called the horde are coming to steamroll B-7 but tbh we don't know whom it will be or when so I won't accuse anyone of anything cause thats just stupid and weak.
All in all OXIDE has had its ups and downs and as the Current CEO we will roll with it and try and Keep on trucking we ask for no help since its hard to know whom to trust. So for all the smack and double talk we all know thats what the Forum warriors are great at. Good luck my Fellow OXIDE mates.

Sorry to hear it RK I'm sure my pilot are confused and are thinking you and smash are the same since they reset us yesterday according to the advisement and time table that Peoke gave me. But if we are reset there is little turning back GF and GL.

Well I can see my request tht Oxide pilots not post more in this tread wasn't exactly followed.
Here is what happened while I was at work yesterday. Peoke gave 24hours to OXIDE to make up our mind to join Atlas and after that we would be neutral. 24 hours came and went and OXIDE's HC made the choice not to merge with anyone.
Next I think we figured the Smash window of blue had ended as Peoke had given and Macks (XO of OXIDE) had convo's with him while I was at work and we were told we were no longer blue.
It may have been a dumb idea or way of thinking but anyone that knows Smash knows they are linked whole heartedly to Roadkill so I think the standings reset wasn't thought of as a suprise to Smashkill since Peoke had us set Neutral.
If that was a stupid move by OXIDE leadership (Me) it wasn't meant as a blue on blue backstabbing thing and I think we are all smart men (and women) here and know normally when Smash comes knocking RK will be there as well. If that was viewed as a sneaky or messed up move I take the blame but I think Roadkill knows that was the case when smash reset us.
So for anyone that isn't aware then Smashkill and Atlas and others have camped B-7 and Atlas has put up one or two towers. One of our corps that left us didn't bother to fuel a tower so the invaders have pounded that to smitherines. We don't have their numbers but we will fight to the last ship and pod.
Oxide is making a stand we don't want to merge or be anyone's slaves. We were willing to be blue with RK and smash and DMC but for some reason that wasn't going to work in Peoke's eyes. I hold no grudges and I'm not going to smack talk. Nice to see a thread with us in it even if it means our demise or losing our home. Good luck my fellow Oxide pilots fight hard.

Oxide faced overwhelming odds we fought as long as possible but after looking at the force against us I made the call to surrender to Scooter1. I have surrendered my sword and have given my word we will move out.

Originally by: Seblis Hyperion DMC has tried to stay out of the forums but to defend aginst attacks we have to reply
"DMC did not abandon OXIDE, I told demondrew almost 5 weeks before attack that they where showing weakness and offered help by placing towers in systems they didnĘt hold sov in. He replied no we will get stronger he said. Every week following I contacted demon about their space not getting stronger but weaker. And again he replied no we will place towers and we are getting new corps in oxide. 3 weeks before they where attacked I offered demon to join DMC, they would remain owners of their outpost as well. I even told them that oxide could leave DMC at any time that the drone regions became stable and reclaim there space or DMC could buy out the station if they choose. He didnĘt want any of this. He promised that b-7 would not fall to by his doing that DMC would get first option to buy or reclaim whatever if that happens. The day they where attacked I told demon I told u this was coming, the fact it was iron and invictus just goes to show that they where seen as weak. blues donĘt attack blues unless itĘs needed. I offered one more time for oxide to join DMC with same details as before, he replied no and wanted our support to defend b-7, so I explained there was nothing DMC could due then atm because DMC does not attack allies to defend allies, but if they would join us all the **** would go away, he would have nothing to do with it! So, I told him to hold on and to fight till we could get to the bottom of the politics and find out who was behind attacks. the next day they made a deal with smash and surrendered ``just like that ``. DMC held true to our promise to stand by oxide We did for 1 yr. honestly the whole time they where here, the only reason they didnĘt get attacked was cause of DMC.

Wow This from Seblis Hyperion former OXIDE member that did merge into DMC-
Intresting that Fletcher couldn't post it himself but ok.
"DMC did not abandon OXIDE" Sounds fair if its Iron and Invictus your talking about they were smart like DMC in the MJ war and pulled out and have always been blue with you. So you were not willing to help us against them.
I guess it wasn't clear that if OXIDE would fail to hold our space we would do so as OXIDE not as DMC or a resident of DMC or as Atlas or as any other entity other than OXIDE.
What I don't get is the statement how the **** would go away how is that? Were Iron and Invictus their by your request? If so how did that help us cause it didn't slow the move to attack by Smashkill.
So instead of sending Seblis to post this (which for those who don't know Seblis played games with oxide from within and then when he joined DMC tried to recruit from oxide) please Post yourself.
If you were true and stood by us for a year when smashkill came into B-7 how come you didn't come help? We came into DYS one day before and helped you with the PURE tower there. So the reason no one came to b-7 this week I guess is where I really wondered what DMC was doing.
This all aside I will say I have enjoyed the help you and cruel fox gave before this period and no matter how I feel about the outcome of what has happened to OXIDE I don't plan on holding a grudge or smacktalking DMC or you Fletcher after this post I think your a good leader and a gentleman.

Edited by: Demondrew on 11/11/2007 11:40:42 * Demondrew Shoots this thread since most of the content no longer contains current evens of OXIDE/Invictus or Iron atm.
I will say that OXIDE is moving out and moving on GL to the People that are friends and GF to you that have been enemies. Things didn't work for us in the Drone regions maybe we will find a better fit. No smack just Props all my pilots that stuck to OXIDE thanks.

Well as Seleiah has said it has been a intresting thread.
I've been involved in eve politics for about a year or so I'm still a noob. I've dabbled in mining and building. I'm still learning how to pvp vs some of the best in the game. ( Outbreak early Oxide time period Tri later and now RK and smash) So I'll try and sum up the tread for those of you that don't want to melt your brains on the first 16 pages.
Oxide purchased the B-7 station from X-pact a few months ago and began trying to play with the rest of the mad pacters (Frege, DMC, Guard, Rule, Invictus) All seemed calm and boring in the drone regions with some visits from Tri and other visiting the drone regions at that time but there was really no big things going on here.
Imperial order puts down a outpost in nearby MJ and get the attention of Pure and Smashkill soon a war breaks out and many of the drone regions are called to defend their promise to the Mad Pact so it seems like a blob fest of many alliaces vs smashkill and Atlas.
Fast forward to this thread where the mad pact has all but fallen apart and many of the Drone regions big players (Frege, Guard, rule of 3) are have had moved out or forced out of the region or are shadows of what they were a month or two ago.
What is left is DMC, Invictus, ED, Intreped crossing, OXIDE, Iron and SmAsHKilla and the intrest of the Northern coaltion seems to bear on those that have not been or are not part of the southern war and who was involved in the MJ war.
OXIDE Got involved in a few of the Defense efforts in razor space and such in the early goings of the war with bob and co. but had not been much of a force in the south. So mark one against. Second it became clearer and clearer our part in MJ was a mark against us as well. Finally our close relationship with DMC and our weakness to defend our space made us a target of intrest.
So yes in the end we did alot of what happened in B-7 depending on how you view eve politcal movement. Oxide was given many chances to merge or move out the week or weeks before the battle of B-7. I found it hard to mount a good defense vs Smash, RK, Atlas and Chaos and Pure and found little help from DMC.
Now the Drone regions are basicly DMC and Smashkill with some smaller alliances mixed in for flavor. I salute all that made this turn of events for me intresting. I have stepped down as CEO of OXIDE and have seen fit to move on in eve. Good Luck to all as well as OXIDE pilots.
