We are a threat to every BoB/faggot-aligned alliance and corporation because we're going to extract our pleasure from watching you fall apart, from watching you fail and by watching you lose space. Goons haven't changed in their attitudes, their actions or their ideas, but rather the community that has "changed their minds on goons" (when they were already made up two years ago) because in today's EVE it suits them. COAD was a sespool before Goons were granted posting rights, we actually brought some humor to it. Grow up and get over yourselfs. you should probably chill brosef your theta is showing really the best way to win is to be lawl buttes about it, since bob and the rest of eve only understand the kind of hurf blurf dialogue that comes from hvac-fixing internet space tyrants so: calm down, posting like this you're just playing their game, and their game is terrible (mlyp)

When BoB won, the whole eve-universe knew it, because they would post all over the forums when they won. For our purposes, they owned the forums when they had something going well for them. The last successful thing they did was take all the credit for taking FAT (ignoring the fact that they had a coalition of 9-13 alliances, including MC who made up a huge portion of their fleets). It is safe to say that the BoB advance in catch has come to a halt. Combined with the Goon advance, it is very clear that BoB is losing currently. Goons remember and take quite personally the arrogance and disrespect displayed by BoB in the early part of 2006. They are willing to go to great lenghts to bring BoB down. Even if it means posting on a s**y forum like this one. Goons are willing to do whatever is neccicary to take everything from BoB. Taking these forums from BoB is more crushing to BoB than losing regions, losing capital fights, losing titans (well, maybe not losing titans). The s*posting on this forum is a planned, organized, and intentional assault on the forums. The forums were formerly an asset that BoB could count as theirs. Plenty of alliances ** on RA too for, quite frankly, racist/nationalist reasons. No other motivation. I was in some of those alliances, and on the front lines back then. I saw it first hand. Is it any wonder that we became great friends and allies with RA? Is it any wonder that our alliance of misfit toys, each of us denied a place in the eve-community in some way, is now biting you on the ass? And now a lack of respect is uncool huh? I'm not surprised.

I agree with most of what you are saying, including the idea most players will flock to the winning side of a lot of Eve conflict. Coming from someone who has been given the boot from stations by RA 3-4 times now (wewt?), I'm still coming back for more. I'm not the only one that finds losing can be fun am I? I actually thought the goon posts were pretty telling in this thread. I get more of the reasoning that drives them against Bob (though the demonizing is taken to excess). I have never understood the "they did it, so now its justified we do it" reasoning. Its been said before, but it just appears as if Goons are becoming what they despised. I'm up for the conflict but the hate both sides have spread is something I could do without. As much as I don't like the goon forum presence, I've talked to a lot of goons in local, outside the "fofofo" types, who were good guys (and pretty hilarious to boot). I dunno, I like fighting goons and red. Its simply not a 24/7 blobfest. Blobs are necessary on occasion, but flying on the bob side also gives you great opportunities for smaller scale warfare lead by some really fantastic FCs. Thats my perspective anyway.
