A regular Tuesday evening and getting ready to start the evenings chain collapsing for something to shoot or ruin someone's day in another way that we enjoy doing. Only difference, we struck gold this time.
The first wormhole of the evening was cycled after i got back from dinner. A covert ops jumped in and got a beautiful dscan. 1 moros, 1 orca and 1 scorpion on dscan. a quick pan of the dscan confirmed they weren't near a planet nor was there any POS in range. Combat probes were thrown out in the general direction of the spotted ships while the call for ships went through the alliance like wildfire and the fleet ran up in numbers. The 3 original ships disappeared of dscan however. assuming they were collapsing the combat scanners were used to scan down the c5's static. Arriving there the wormhole seemed in perfect condition. clearly no fleet had been trying to collapse it yet.
Thinking we lost the target 2 more scouts jumped in and a second later an archon and moros turned up on overview. Assuming they would land at 0 and collapse the way back home the 1st scout started turning around and then the call came that they landed nearly 10km off the wormhole. The fight slaughter was on.
the fleet was ordered to jump in despite not being at full force yet. more screams were put in intel and alliance for logistics and ships, but we had enough loki's to keep the moros and archon away from the wormhole. Logistics and 4 bhaalgorns quickly followed the rest of the fleet. The 2 scanners that jumped in later had initial points on the archon and moros and reported them going into siege and triage. just perfect.
The fleet was told to focus everything on the moros first and ignore the triage carrier. Several HiC's had joined at this point and with both caps well within the bubble they werent going anywhere. At this point the archon and moros pilot started begging to be let go for payment. This was ignored and only answered by posting the narwhals video. then suddenly........a loki warped in. the act of bravery was astounding, or he was just plain stupid. some points and webs were switched to the loki and then we ignored it, punching the moros down who had its cap removed by the 4 bhaalgorns sucking like no tomorrow. the bhaals gave a single neut cycle to the loki and then put everything on the archon while keeping 1 neut on the moros to make sure he wouldnt recharge any cap. The moros died and the loki was called. The archon was sitting there in triage with just 25% cap left from the tender attention of the bhaalgorns. As far as i could see, he didnt even try to rep the loki, as it went down in a flash. The moros pilot had been giving a direct return ticket to empire, with the frozen corpse of the loki pilot quickly following. All damage was now on the archon, with its cap entirely gone and it folded quickly. For everyones pleasure we kept the pod alive a little longer so everyone could ***** onto that mail.
Several haulers were brought in to loot all the stuff, including some officer capacitor mods and a bunch of meta 2 cap mods. Then a revelation was called on dscan, but he turned out at the pos the initial scout had missed. The fleet was ordered to leave the wormhole and when everyone and the loot was saved (and everything salvaged) the c5s was collapsed.
