What exactly is being tested?
- CarbonIO on the client
- Mac client crashes
What will be the test steps?
- Meet in FD-MLJ at the gate to X-BV98
- Jump to X-BV98
- Warp to a starbase, shoot the starbase
- Fleet W: Jump to Poitot and prepare gate-camp
- Fleet X: Warp to Poitot gate
- Fleet X: Jump to Poitot; Fleet-fight
- Warp to planet 1
- Fight against NPCs
What do I need to do exactly?
- Try running LogServer (in server mode), read here if you're not sure how.
- Join the channel "MassTesting"
- You will want to bring a medium-range PVP ship (for the fleet-fight and shooting a POS), we will provide cynos for capitals
What else should I know?
- You can get information updates by subscribing to the "Mass Testing Info" mailing list on TQ!
- CCP staff and ISD will be on hand prior to the test to help move players to the starting location.
- Don't forget to fill out the feedback thread after the test, the link will be posted during the test.
- All participants of the mass test will get 2 million free skillpoints on Singularity as small reward

We planned it - but it won't happen this Thursday.  Tomorrow we will have another mass-test for CarbonIO on the client (which is required for Time Dilation) and the mass-test for Time Dilation will be hopefully next week.

Singularity is still running the TQ code, but it should be updated soon (either this evening or tomorrow morning). The patch for it should be quite small (14MB for the Mac, if I am reading it correctly).

Later than 20:00 UTC (=eve-time) is quite difficult for us, as most EVE devs are located in Reykjavik, Iceland. But we will keep this in mind and perhaps we can have some mass-tests again with the help from our office in Atlanta.

The next mass-test is now planned for this Thursday at 20:00 UTC. This time we will be using Singularity and we will testing the latest fixes to Time Dilation to make sure, that Time Dilation is really ready for being used on Tranquility for fleet-fights!
Bring your friends, corps and alliances to really stress the server and Time Dilation! Contact me on Sisi or per EVEmail, if you are a FC / alliance leader and plan to show up with a whole fleet.

Thank you all, who participated in this mass-test! We had well over 600 players at the same time in a system (and over 800 on the server) and yes - we strained our poor test-server quite a bit. 
On the bad side we experienced again some problems related to Time Dilation, which caused for a few players problems with their shield and armor display in the HUD. We expected, that we managed to fix this in the last days - but the mass-test showed, that we need to take another look at it. We will post more info, as soon as we have analyzed it better and we will probably schedule another mass-test (on next Thursday?) before we feel confident enough to enable Time Dilation on Tranquility.

Hey!
There will be a special mass-test for Time Dilation at 15:00 UTC (in about one hour from now). It is clear, that the time is a bit early and that the mass-test was being announced a bit late, but this is the best solution for testing Time Dilation before Christmas and New Year.
We are meeting in FD-MLJ and instructions are given in the MassTesting channel.

MrDoco: It should work now, we had some problems with the server version earlier.
Grukni: Not as many as at 20:00, but hopefully enough to check out Time DIlation.

If you have an account on Singularity, then you should be able to get it enabled by posting in this thread. I am not sure, when the next DB mirror will happen, but I hope that it will be within the next weeks.

I heard that officer rats are pretty common to show up at the end of mass tests, but you might also have to deal with a few sleepers or incursion rats.

The wiki-page contained an outdated link to the reactivation thread. Fixed and account activated (but a new mirror will very probably be deployed before the mass-test).
If you have problems with SisiLauncher / Launcher or starting the client: Please write bugreports with as much information as possible. We know that there are problems for some configurations, but we were not able to track down all problems. Read this thread, if you are using a Mac.

AKA, will the testing patch have had a sanity check, and are previous MT abusers banned from Sisi? Most people have better things to do than be stuck on grid with retards. Habakuk said Tidi bug got fixed in the patch today.
The teleporting issues and the high amount of crashes should be fixed now.
Rule breakers, smartbombs: I'll look into this a bit more - maybe we can enforce this in some better way.

We had mass test on Saturdays and Fridays before and we will have them again, if there is a good reason for it. I assume that you can understand, that it is more difficult to ask other Devs to come in during a weekend than to stay a bit longer on a working day.
Regarding time: I don't think that any of my colleagues here in Reykjavik are interested to have a mass test in the late evening. 20:00 UTC is about the latest realistic start time for a mass test. Sorry.
Player numbers: Thursday 20:00 resulted in the best player participation so far, but Saturday evening is also very good.
