The previous posts ( on hauler drops ) got me remembering of some amazing drops Ive stumped apon ...
First in my early days of ratting , I was picking up loot in an 0.5 system left by a guy in a Hulk and got warned off , etc. Anyways I leave and return after a long while to see if hes left and sure enough there are a few wrecks to loot - I look in one and there is a Slave implant ( I sell for 100 mil ), a daredevil bp plus another true sanchas module.
The second which is perhaps even more amazing. I was watching Kelptos gate-game while cloaked and sitting about 100 km off. They where hard at it and took down several ships in the half hour I spied ( including a machie pilot traveling semi-Afk ). After a while they all suddenly depart , leaving one or two wrecks unlooted ! I thought they must have looked and not bothered with what was there but anyway it could be worth a look. So I swoop down and to my surprise there was a Naglfar bpc to be found ( sold that for a quick sale of 140 mil ) .

i wasn't there but corp mates got a gist raven, and the booster survived.

best drop ever was when i was only a few weeks into the game, found some drones floating in space, so i stuck them in my cargo and forgot about them, 6 months later i find said drones again they were harvesters and i sold them for alot of money :D
best drop since then has been around 1.8bills worth of imrpoved implants from a bob guy

No good loot for this guy, ever. I've made a point of making frequent trips to 0.5s to rat now and then. I've done tons of it and never scored a damned thing. I almost don't believe that you guys actually found anything. I think you're lying. It's impossible to get any good loot from the crappy frig rats that inhabit the belts in 0.5.

i got a officer cap recharger worth a few bill in 0.0 and no i didnt have it jumped out, speed fitted vigil ftw flying through bob space with a crow on ur arse having so much loot was so much fun and people call me stupid but it was good fun and made me sweat a few times

Oh really ?
Low-grade snake implant in 0.8 while looking for macro-ers, sold it for 180m. Mining upgrade worth 100m found while harassing some guys in belts. Experimented with low-sec to prove a point and made 1b in 10d by just ratting 1h/d. You just have to be smart about it. :)

My first day on my first account, nearly 3 years ago now.
Been in Eve for an half an hour or so, kill some npc or other in training mission, drops an item (no idea what it was now) that I take to sell at the noobie station, holy ****, it's worth 2 million isk, then, holy **** again, it says -60% of average.
Some quick questions in corp chat directed me to a system a few jumps away where I sold it to a buy order for 3.8 million isk.
Been playing less than an hour.
Since then I've had tons of great drops, 38 faction items from one hauler I ganked, but that first sticks out in my mind still.

We had a few guys blow up a Rattlesnake ratting at a Belt in low sec with Full Officer fitting. The loot dropped was over 12bill and loot destroyed was in the 15bill range...

When I was very young in the game (and before Warp to 0 was around), I was running around low sec, I was approaching a gate and guy in a Thorax decided to have a shoot at me - well the dumb guy could not tank the guns and I had him scramled, he went pop and dropped a Crow and Vagabond BPO.
Later he convo'd me and offered me a meer 300m for there return, I refused and still have the Vagabond BPO which is great. The guy was transporting them around and forgot to take them out, more fool him 
I live off the BPO profits, its great, I vote more idiotic T2 BPO owners visit lowsec

Haha just chiming in to remember back in the day that harvesters ran like water. I left wayyy more floating uselessly in space than I ever looted. Hilarious.

Alright. I'm heading out to rat in a 0.5 belt once more. I've found a nice, low-traffic system in empire's northwest. If I don't catch anything in a conveniently short time, I'm coming back to this thread to kick some ass!

i remember fighting you alot in syndicate :) and yeah they were still common when they were floating around, i as a nub took them and forgot, when i found them they were worth loads again :D

TBH.. continue a few jumps more. The best rats/loot is found in 0.0 - 0.4 not in 0.5 and upwards :)

i beg to differ, i found a low grade crystal last night in .8 on a dread rat wahile i was stealing ore from a miner i sereously did not think that high sec faction spawns droped anything other than shiny dog tags

While traveling back from a fleet op that left me in the middle of god now where, I stumbled upon a lone iteron mark V, it had scouts but seeing as I was alone and the numbers of stabs it had fitted, it thought it could get away...
Well though luck, I didn't even a scrambler fitted, but I did have 6x 1400mm II arties on my tempest, and short range ammos...instapop...well it was FULL of complex loots that sold for 8 billions isk, for me alone :)
Beat that :)

A freind and I were harrasing a 3 month old raven pilot in essence lowsec on a gate to high sec space. My freind was outlaw in a temp, I wasn't and flying a stabber with a caldari ecm module. The tempest pilot had to leave after harrasing and after departing the raven decides a stabber is an easy kill. I scram and succesfully jam him (lol) and he panics, jumps through the gate into high sec. Right after the agg timer is up I jump and loot a load of faction / deadspace modules from his concordokken wreck worth around 3 bil or so.
