Ive been playing EVE for 2 years now..trying to balance game play time with a wife and work has been a delicate balance. I really cannot play as much as an established 0.0 based alliance would want so I have to do most of my EVE business solo with one account and one character for times sake. So after 2 yrs of play I have managed to top out my trade skills...I Buy alot off the market and either refine for minereals or sell it if its named. I was given some 411 the other day that now CCP has decided to make all mods m3 = the minereal m3 that is in the mod..I cant really complain about that..but now I have almost 5 million skill points in trade/refining 300 orders..tycoon skill...and now after spending all that time to learn those skills to collect the items...CCP now is going to make picking those items up almost impossible..LOTS of jumps with a painfully slow freighter.I wish I would have known this before I spent months of training for this field...I wonder if they will give me my skill points back to place somewhere useful?
Also I have spent the last 8 months honing my carrier skills..and they are gunna nerf that also now...
It takes months of training and REAL $$$ to learn these skills paying the monthly fee ..learning ungodly long 12,14,16x modifier skills..
It seems they are more concerned with the new players and pretty much leave the veteran platers out to dry time after time...driving these players to just not log on as much or quit as they realize how much time and $$$ they have invested into an account that CCP is slowly tearing apart...
Im pretty sure the long time players are the ones that hold the large alliances together and attract new players....if CCP drives to many of them off...they will have total chaos for gameplay and EVE will slowly die off IMO.
I really hope they start rewarding long time players soon..instead of nerfing their skills...the super capitals they have worked so long and hard for...and other advanced game mechanics

Yes I know what you mean...tehy introduced those damn tracking changes to turrets in 2004. Totally nerfed my Bships and I couldn't hit frigs and stuff.
Why can't my 100mil isk bship hit any frigs.
So you know what I did....I quit in 2004 with all my 3000 accounts.
I can still hear CCP cry at night because tehy lost all teh money they were making from me.

trust me every one that have been in the game for 2 years+ would have liked to respec a certain amount of sp, because of ccp's drastic changes, that we can not anticipate.
i feel with you man, but there is seriously nothing to do about it. at least you just need a freighter now, so you skills is not a total wasted, but it still hurts.
the carrier skills i see totally as your own fault, since they was so overpowered that even a middle school child would have realized that they needed a giant nerf at some time. if you train for something that is insanely overpowered then you can't whine when it is nerfed, since it is a known nerf to come.
this have nothing to do with being more concerned about new players, it have something to do with balance, to balance things out so it gets the way they intended it to be. i really hate their lame excuse of the new T2 bs, and i wish the ones that said "this is it" will be spanked untill he is yellow. but i still have to understand WHY we are not getting the super seized hac (it would simply be too pownage, when you see the devastation a hac can already make as a cruiser seize ship.).
you kind of forget that the whole meaning of eve is "there is NO best ship" and there should never be a ship that is so powerful that every one that can will fly it, simply because it is the superior in terms of everything and in terms of it's price compared to it's effect. it should be like faction, your paying a LOT for a very little advantage, and this is the main fundamental of eve.
although i would like to see some kind of respec system, if just a one time, but still be there.... since they have changed so much and so many skills have become useless for those pilots who needed them before.

When CCP releases something, you cannot "expect" them to nerf it. If you did, nobody would train anything fun or anything that looked like it may get nerfed.
That is unfair. It is totally unreasonable for CCP to keep going around with the nerfcannon (it's been upgraded imo) hitting everything in sight in the name of "game balance."

A big company (maybe even Microsoft) should buy CCP with their products, next dismiss half of devs and put in their place people with ears and eyes, guys which can take care of players, which wont try to trash months of skilling time and gamers money to garbage.
Currently devs (not all but enounght) hate old players and many of that players see it, and soon or later eve comunity will start real fight with devs. Of course not on this forum (its useless in here cause nobody from ccp take it serious), but on big gaming portals.

so you thought? gotta probe market for weakpoints and mess up the prices if you can break the demand. cause ccp to scramble. it feels good, makes the wallet look even better. yet in the end I've found the devs beating me once again... even if you find a way to make isk, the stuff you can get with it is gonna be ****e.

OH NOES I bought an obscenely expensive capship designed for alliance warfare and it will no longer be the total pwn solo or in a small gang and now I must quit as I can no longer lord it completely over the pathetic scum without my money or skillpoints!
Go play warcraft if you want more time/money = instant win.
The rest of us will continue to sharpen our actual skills. I'm also pretty sure that if you leave no-one will really care beyond moving into your old space.
You want to kick ass in a small gang? Fly a Command ship instead. "I got soul but I'm not a soldier" |

I believe that is your problem. Entertainment is the payout of entertainment. If you think there is something at the end of the tunnel, you're sadly mistaken.

In order for EVE to work, there has to be a pretty harsh plateau of character effectiveness. Without it, there would be little reason for new players to play the game. I guess they think that the current plateau isn't quite harsh enough.
How to do make a plateau? You create advancement that is exponentially more time consuming vs the effectiveness it adds.

My main is a Nyx pilot. Yes i do camp low sec sometimes. Yes i do get kills sometimes. One thing for sure, only an idiot is going to die to an MS, that and little frigs and shuttles to my 2 smartbombs. THATS IT. A BS will tank long enough to warp away. Sentries will pop fighters pretty easily. Cruisers and BC are to fast.
Nerf MS and carriers? lol... A carrier will die to 3 dps BS +1 frig with 2-3 damps. A MS will take more ships but hey thats normal. Etheir neut/nos it below 80% + bump him, or just drop a bubble.
Thanks EVE-Noobs, ruined the gave for the vets. ______________________ Just another cool alt.

ill sign this, ccp needs to STOP THE NERFING, they nerf too much and are losing my intrest as well as othes. but regureatably this as 99% of all other complaints shall fall on deff ear's and blind eye's... perhaps if we wrote to ccp, and flooded their ground mail with petions about the nerfing? seems to work better with politions...
