Got a link?
I stopped counting when I passed 30,000 farmers documented. That was a year ago, and no it does not account for banned accounts.
At the rate that accounts are banned, if 5,000 of those in my notes were banned - that would be an astonishing number to me.
There are some 450,000 accounts (give or take) How many are REAL people? Think that one over...

Like to know which criteria one has to fullfill to count as a farmer to you.
I started to count 6 months before you did and I don't have any proof of anyone being a farmer.
Think that one over...

I'm sorry that I didn't realize that even CCP with their inferior methods of collecting data and intel from the database compared to the common customer in any way can efffectively identify farmers or justify bans on their accounts.

I guess that all of us that hunt farmers in eve in our spare time are just fabricating this? Instead of giving me a hard time why don't you go look in your nearest empire ice field or random 0.0 system, or have a look at some contracts... follow the isk like the rest of us instead of telling us we are wrong.

TBH guys, it's not about inflating a number. I spend a TON of time, as does Voogru and others that hunt farmers.
CCP needs to acknowledge this is an issue and try to help us help them stop it.
If they see some really huge number because someone hit reload 50 times it means zip... if they see 10,000 people on the forums with this sig it starts to make them think about it.
CCP, reads the forum.
If they start seeing a lot of players with the same signature, pilotly asking CCP to become more pro-active against the ISK Sellers/ISK Farmers/ISK Buyers, I'm thinking they may be more inclined to do something about it.
It'll be kind of cool when CCP opens a thread, and everyone has the same signature that says the same thing.
The statistic on it is just an add-on to that message.
Rather than make a bunch of whine threads about farmers that clutter the forum, the idea is to make every post a player makes, a little reminder, that the ISK Sellers & ISK Farmers, need to start getting properly dealt with. The devs might be scared of ISK Farmer/Seller threads and probably don't view them as much as other threads.
So, by using this as a sig, your forcing them to see problems that need to be fixed, even when they go open a thread that's talking about something completely different.
CCP is a business and is aware of their monthly income. As such they realize that a total *****down were it possible (its not) would cost them potentially millions of dollars.
Though, I'd guess after reading enough of your posts, Voogru, you probably think that you are more important to CCP than their bottom line.
-Karlemgne (aka a person who actually has made MMOs for a living and knows wtf he's talking about unlike some others who spam the forums with "I hate isk seller/buyer" threads)

CCP can change the EULA anytime they like.
Till that time voogru is simply asking CCP to enforce their own rules. -

In case I claim that there are 0 farmers in Eve we've both posted equally reliable statistics.
Originally by: Loyal Servant I guess that all of us that hunt farmers in eve in our spare time are just fabricating this?
Did I say that? Or am I merely questioning whether your methods are reliable or not?
Originally by: Loyal Servant

Please link or quote me where I claim that you are wrong. You thought you could quote me asking for solid proof, post some numbers without any backup with the apparent intention to provide said proof or convince me without me being suspicious? Are you still clinging on to your original numbers and are you able to provide any solid verification or are you going to let Pitt Bull defend his statement?
Originally by: Loyal Servant

Why would I? I havenÆt disagreed with anything in this thread except that I donÆt feel hatred towards Isk-buyers. I have merely asked for verification of a post that contained accusations towards CCP without anything to back it up.
ItÆs hard discussing with you when you donÆt seem to manage to understand what IÆm posting, able to refrain from personal insults nor distinguish suitable proof from personal experience.

Was that an answer to my post?
If so then I'm not sure how it is relevant to what I wrote. You mean that they can change the EULA so it includes guidelines to how we, as players, are to identify isk-farmers?
Please elaborate

Only a matter of time before people start chiming in asking for us to prove these guys are farmers.
Why would CCP state in another thread they are, and claim to ban them - yet they show in my address book.
That thread was named 'Large scale criminal activity' Add some of those to your address book, and then ask me why they are still logging in... banned?
I did not say it, a CCP representative did.

Have no idea. Ask CCP, I haven't expressed myself in this matter in this thread. Why do you bring it up?

I have since not received one single spam eve-mail. It's beautiful, and I encourage anyone being spammed by isk-sellers to do as I have done. ___________________________________

The people who get spammed most often are in the Rookie Help channel and I doubt many of them know about that feature (I didn't until now.) Even if they did, it would restrict new players from making contact with corps, other players, etc.
I think the most likely buyer of ISK is a person who just joined the game within the past year (100M ISK seems like a whole lot more when you're new to the game.) I'm sure many vets are also relying on ISK farmers, too, but they don't need to be advertised to anymore because they found the place to buy ISK when they were in the Rookie Help channel...
I wouldn't even be the slightest bit surprised if gankers buy 100M ISK, buy a new ship and then double up their ISK by camping in Jita for half an hour or so until a 1B cargo transport shows up... ISK farming affects the economy, player action, corp status, hell everything gets messed up because of it.

There was a new board flood yesterday morning, Voogru. Nice to know CCP's taking direct and decisive action.

You think there are no botters in WoW? there are. you just don't see them cause the places they farm are instanced, shielding them completely from public view, if anything there are more in WoW than there is in EVE, because the game is more popular and it's not like they ban 50.000 accounts every* day.
Originally by: Durisis what?? using the anti-spam utility as it is intended? what outrageously preposterous lies!!
That 'blocks' legit mail too sadly.
No matter what you do farmers will always exist. I find it weird though, that everyone always attacks the sellers and farmers. It's the buyers that you need to do something about. The sellers don't care if they lose an account, they can easily start up a new one. and unless you actually get the farmer accounts they wont even have to worry about any skill training, they can do their "job" as effectively with a 1d old account as they can with a 6mo old account scaring the buyers is more effective than banning the sellers. since they actually fear losing the time they invested in skills.
Edit: i really gotta delete this char from my account. ~Freya Runestone
