ôNo they aren't. They run flat out of cap with all those SPRs, meaning they can't use hybrid guns.ö You donÆt have a giant cap drain from active amour repairers so you can run hybrids no problem.
I use 425mm T2 rail guns, 8 of them with my Hyper for lvl 4 missions. You know you donÆt have to has max SPRÆs. There are other useful modules like PDS, Damage mods e.c.t

Edited by: Pottsey on 10/11/2007 15:47:12 ôHm. 8 425s and 3 T2 shield hards seem to take 4 PDSs just to perma-run on a Hyperion, and without SPRs up your ass, your tank's never going to come close to an armor tank. 264.12 HP regen isnt close to an amour tank? Since when? 3 PDS give me the cap I need and the rest SPR.
You have no large cap drain so your large cap without factoring in regen lasts ages. Yyou donÆt need to perm run as your not firing none stop. The short breaks when you reload or change targets, turn on weapons, move into range e.c.t mean you only need about 10 to 18 cap/s regen to run your ship none stop.
"if you somehow could fit full T2 SPRs, 3 extenders, invuln, 3 CDFP, and EM hard, you're going to be below the tank of a dual-LAR II, DCU II, explo hard II, 2x EANM II, 5x Cap Recharger II (for PvP replaced by an injector), 2x CCC, and 1x ANP.ö Somehow fit? Your fit seems to be impossible. How do you fit all that without downgrading your weapons? Last time I checked the passive tank was way easier to fit and your amour tank has massive PG problems. How do you fit 8, T2 425mm railguns with dual LAR and everything else while running none stop without cap problems?
If I downgrade to T2 I have 264.12 HP regen and 68.85% Kinetic and 58.6% thermal. ThatÆs a 728 dps tankable with 2 invul fields more if you swap to single hardners. On top of all that I have over 26k hitpoints not factoring in resistance. I donÆt see how your dual LAR setup can match that.
I could in theory swap to amps and fit more SPRÆs. Not sure if thatÆs worse or better, but I like invul fields over single hardners.

Edited by: Pottsey on 10/11/2007 16:34:36 ôBut you can actually have a decent tank with the railguns attatched. Passive tanks? It's a choice between the tank and the guns, neither tank nor guns setups having much of the other.ö I just proved a passive tank can have both a decent tank and guns. Your amour tank has 1 or the other. I dont understand why your saying Passive tanks are a choice between the tank and the guns.

ômy domi can perma run guns, 2x large reps, hardeners...... no problemoö Is that with 6 railguns T2, 425mm? Or do you have to downgrade the weapons?
I was talking about the Hyperion before with 8 turrets not the domi. But a domi as a passive tank can fit 6 of the best railguns without a problem.
