Your stats influence the time yes , check the skill and look what stats it depends on. Also the learning skill influence trainingtime 2% , not much but when you start train higher level skills it makes a difference!

Thanks. :) Next question... ;) lets say I have hybrid turrets trained to lvl 3, then I raise Ironwill and (the other one ;))... will there be a "invisible" improvement in my turret skill ? lets say the lvl 3 has a hidden value of 500. will that value increase, when I train my stats ?
or will I only speed the learningrate up ?
EDIT found this, that also tells about the skill/stats system: http://oldforums.eveonline.com/?a=topic&threadID=4399 LOL can't figure it out, how to make a link :/ Edited by: Jarx Furmore on 10/06/2003 22:40:36

Thanks for pointing that one out. Very handy.
In answer to your question, no, your stats have absolutely no effect on your skills other than affecting the time it takes to train them. Skills give their listed bonus, no more, no less.
It's worth noting as an aside that your skill doesn't really have anything to do with things like how often you hit your target. That's entirely determined by the range to the target (100% within optimal range, slowly decreasing to 50% at falloff range, and very quickly approaching (but never reaching) 0% beyond that) and how quickly they're moving across your field of fire (determined by the tracking rate of your weapon, measured in radians per second). Other skills can increase the range of your gun or the speed your gun tracks, though, and so indirectly affect how often you hit.

I have a question reguarding skills. On the description to some skills it says per level and others do not. Does this mean that these skills do not increase with higher levels?
