I am pleased to announce the upcoming grand opening of the SPCS Port Sanctuary station in Amarr sovereign space. Port Sanctuary will service the new Gallente Initiates program as well as providing screening facilities and storage of Minmatar livestock.
Invitations are being sent out this week for the grand opening next weekend. Those who would like to attend may request an invitation here and their application will be reviewed.
No terrorists or Gallente deviants will be permitted.
The SPCS would like to thank the kind donation of several anonymous donors who made Port Sanctuary possible.

"Prevention of Cruelty to Slaves."
Ridiculous. Only a Heideran-worshipper would follow such absurd guidelines. Honestly, what is the pre-occupation you Imperials have with giving rights to subhuman animals? What next, protect the very wheat the slaves reap from being harvested?

Well, too much cruelty, at least if the cruelty isnt applied for educational purposes, ( like whipping some sense into a so called freedomfighter ) seriously hampers their motivation to work for us and, even worse, to become good and god fearing servants of the empire.

I would like to remind those members of Paladin Imperium who support the exile who styles himself as King Khanid that Doriam II (may God grant his soul eternal reward), the most recent true Emperor of Amarr stated that slaves should not be abused.
I believe that was with this in mind that the SPCS formulated its policies.
Additionally, a well-fed slave is a happy and productive slave.

Ah, how fitting. In less than a dozen replies we have gone from free-willed Gallente Initiates to slave trade and discussion of how much beating is discipline and how much is torture.
And I would be REALLY interested to see the chemical composition of that vaccine you will be using.

Personally I don't see why the Empire shouldn't "meddle" in how each citizen of the Empire treat their slaves. Slavers aren't mere "property" and keeping Slaves is not any ordinary activity. It's a holy duty to God himself, a duty that he entrusted to his Chosen people, and as such it should be monitored by the proper authorities, so that it is ensured that it's done properly.
If you deny the Imperial governments right to dictate how you should treat your slaves, then what next? Deny the authority of the Theological council to decide what is Right and what is Heresy?
""The Amarr people came into the world and the world came into being. Our illustrious ancestors freed their souls from the evils of the old world and created a new one. The great Amarr Empire was founded to cultivate the spirit of man. To do so the enemies of the outside had to be defeated and the enemies of the inside controlled. The Lord gave our Emperor the power to harness the Good and punish the Evil. Ever since, the Emperor has lived the lives of his subjects and breathed the air of authority." -The Scriptures, Book I
This section is particularly relevant to the practice of slavery. ______________________________________________ -You can never earn my respect, only lose it. It's given freely, and only grudgingly retracted when necessary. |

Well first off the slave language refers to the Minmatar livestock the facility will house as indicated in the initial post. The Gallente Initiates are a different program. As for "chemical composition" I'm sorry but our Amarrian medical scientific research is classified. Given the Gallente history of scientific research (and failures) you can understand why we'd be reluctant to share with you.

Edited by: Lief Siddhe on 13/11/2007 04:14:09 I am usually no tprone to outbursts such as this, but you God Damned Hypocrites
When I remember that one of your goals was to "move the impoverished away from the narcotic sin that is Gallente Federation", to quote some of your scriptures in freeform.
And why that goddamned drug isn't outlawed in Gallente Federation is truly beyond me. But, as it usually goes, people in high places, such as governments and churches, usually find a way to come to an agreement. So it is, undoubtedly, that many Gallente politicians had to be bribed one way or another in order NOT to outlaw that damn drug.
I can just HOPE that one day you yourself fall victim to the drug you created for others. Although loss of innocent life is never good, sometimes, when darker thoughts reach me, sometimes I wish one of your planet's water reserves would be poisoned with some Vitoc, and your family members, and maybe members of your Imperial Family and people you love. Maybe then would you understand what it is like. It would be so fitting to be destroyed by your own monster. Alas, I know the ones who are really responsible have both the ISK and the power to avoid something like that, so in the end only the little man would suffer.
At least I have the option of taking some drug or not by my own free will and for my own purposes, be they recreational or spiritual. But, as we know, we capsuleers are much above your "common man".
"And when the third angel sounds his horn, there will fall a flaming star from the sky. It will burn like a torch And its name will be Wormwood. It will fall on the ground And poison the waters And a third of humanity will die From drinking the dark, bitter water."
Although I will surely get lots of trouble back in UC Instructor Office, I stand behind my words. It is a shame I even had to say them, but I can not keep quiet in the face of such bigotry and hypocrisy over fates of hundreds and thousands of human beings. Pray I don't run into you lot somewhere planetside during some of your "gathering" actions, for I will raise my voice and make my best effort to see your sorry holy arses kicked out of orbit.
Can't wait to meet the next group of Amarr slavers who are trying to dump Vitoc on a planet in the Federation. I will surely enjoy taking my time dismembering their ships and "faith in God". Have to go talk to my agent now to ask if any of the unholy bastards were spotted in the vicinity.

You spew violence and profanity like a Minmatar. I can see now that the Gallente are even more hopeless than we were led to believe. Rest assured the treatment of the Gallente Initiates will be kind, caring and compassionate in line with SPCS regulations. Likewise the Port Sanctuary facility is in Amarr sovereign space and all medical treatment rendered will be done so only after the Initiates have signed the contract of service and assistance and not before then. Thus nothing "unexpected" will befall them and in fact they will grant their full permission for whatever we deem necessary to help them.
You try to confuse the public with your claims of vitoc and slavery when in fact the Gallente Initiate program is one of hope and caring as only the Amarr can provide.

Edited by: Lief Siddhe on 13/11/2007 09:44:39 Well, you caught me after a hard night's work, and I have been housing 3 "normal" and 5 "elite" slaves I recently freed from an enslaver cargohold, so 'forgive' me if I spew profanity like a Minmatar. It's called freedom of speech, although depending on the point of view it could also be called "slander" or some other name.
And if you could guarantee and prove there was NO Vitoc in the vaccines, and not a single human was held on your station against their will, I would even apologize personally.
I have been asked by senior UC instructors to refrain from any more communication on this subject, since they know my point of view concerning slavery and how upset I can get around it because of personal reasons.

According to my understanding the SPCS is a privately run charity organisation, not an official body of the Amarr administration.
So they cannot 'dictate' or enforce anything directly by law.
Still they can voice their opinion on the best handling of slaves. As they are following our last Emperor's stance on that issue their voice has quite some weight in the Empire.

Since Gallente is flavour of the moment, I'll use an apt example from their world. There are many pharmacutical products that can be of great benefit, relieving symptoms and curing diseases. But many would abuse these chemical substances for their own recreational pleasure, causing the brain to become addled, creating addiction problems and potenitally long term damaging the health and wellbeing of the abuser
Used incorrectly, cruelty might be considered in some circles as abuse of a slave, that could lead to physical or mental trauma that then makes them less suitable for the purpose. But sometimes it is needed as a vital disciplinary or training tool. Cruel to be kind?
So, you going to tell me off now for beating my slaves? Or are your cruelty-free, limp wristed, over-weight slaves going to beat me to a pulp instead?

Hah, don't worry, I'm sure good ol' Gaius relishes the challenge to his moral authority. I mean what is a Grand Inquisitor to do if not knock impure inferiors like myself back into line? This lowly Caldari middle manager for a small monastic order is already truely honoured by all the attention.
In any case, I'm sure we can come to some amicable agreement about how we're both right and the other side wrong. I'm thinking, joint statement, something along the lines of "...and there's nothing worse than interfering, meddling Gallente like Ixiris"

I am very interested in the Gallente initiates program, as well as the general ethos of the SPCS, even if I disapprove some of it's more Amarian practices.
I find the concept of the SPCS a very novel one, and would very much like to witness its work first-hand, and maybe speak with your representatives about the origins and ethics of the organisation.
The alliance of which I am a member is at war with the major Amarrian loyalists, so a flag of truce would need to be flown. Something I am willing to organise myself, and risk the failure of, in order to attend, should you accept my request.
