they have always given at least a few days notice to patch day, upwards to week in most cases.

I'd rather CCP did a Blizzard on this one, release it when its ready and not before, better to release later with fewer bugs than sooner and trash the game for a month.

Hmm, patch in December...then most of CCP take a break leaving the skeleton crew to deal with the buggy patch over christmas and into the new year...didn't this happen last year? Maybe they should wait till next year to release after their holidays...
