I would gladly crank this out on my own in everyone's favourite tool, EFT, but... mine doesn't want to work.
I'm curious about a realistic number for DPS, without rigs, on a Hurricane. I have all gunnery skills at 4 or 5, up to T2 Med guns. I can pull about 300dps or so in a Rupture, and figure I would be around 400 in a Cane. If you are able to get more, without rigs, on either ship, is there any way you can contact me, or post here, with a set up that will achieve this?
Also not taking drones into consideration, just raw gun/missile damage.

With max skills, its around 500 DPS, so with your almost-perfect gunnery skills, I would expect about 400 DPS.

6x 425 (hail) 2x assault heavy 5x small drones and 3x gyro's gives me just shy of 700 dps with good skills.
Before people say, "Eww, hail" I fit it in small gangs against lone ratting BS's.
Around 600 with barrage. I honestly dont know where people come up with their stats. Screw tank in the hurricane, I got a 24km, Sensor Booster, Large Booster and MWD fitted on mine, low just has Gyro's, speed mods, and a DCU II.

Never liked that the 'vagacane', simply because it is sortof bad on speed/agility and can't be used under sentry fire.
Myself, when I'm using the Hurricane, I'll typically go for a tanked setup. With 180s, a cap-injected tank with two armour rigs and all that, it does about roughly 320-350 DPS (can't remember exactly - i think it's a bit closer to 350) with Barrage M loaded. Tanks about 325 DPS, enough for tanking sentries (and 40+K of effective HP), goes a bit less then 1200m/s (armour rigs slow it down), which still means it's faster then most Myrmidons.
The vastly inflated DPS numbers people sometimes give are typically setups which use 425s (with terrible tracking) and on top of that load Hail M. Which typically is a stupid way to fly the Hurricane.
