If you usually work weekends, THEN take a sick day. Otherwise, wait until the weekend. You'll only take a sick day for NOTHING.

For excuse? If I hide under enough coats in the back room nobody will notice me playing videogames.

Heh, I'm simply going to schedule my employees over my shifts. Whenever their are server problems I'll show up and chew them out over the stuff that I know they're going to slack on while I'm gone.
Then I'll leave. Mmm yes. --- lol.. I messed up.

I'll work from home on my NVQ once the servers have stabilised after all the "OMG GOTTTA LOGIN" rush that tends to cause the servers to cry ...

I will not take a sick day. I will never take a sick day for a game.
Although, I *AM* taking some days off for my daughter being born (sometime this week). ^_^

Taking sick days from work to play video games, you could easily go to a doctor and claim insanity. Then you would get a disability cheque every month and have unlimited time to play EVE!

Dude, you realize what you've done ? You used the FamousLastWords™ ! Oh great... so, now, instead of simply worrying about how long the skill I'll have training should be, I have to go ahead and make my house earthquake proof, waterproof, air-tight and radiation insulated, hoard supplies for a nuclear winter, get zombie-proof locks and stockpile weapons, and last but not least get a cold real quick in case of alien invasion, so my viruses can kill them or something. _ Char creation | Stacknerfs | Invention |CNVTF |

This thread has led me to ponder whether or not the corporate accountants of the world have factored in MMO's in their employee efficieny models
I can picture it headlined on the cover of Newsweek/Time etc.
MMO's COSTING CORPORATIONS BILLIONS
Or..
DOW JONES DOWN DUE TO TRINITY RELEASE
Add a headline for fun.

Sometime's it is great being an Eve player in New Zealand.
Patch day usually happens at either 9pm which means i get in a couple of hours play before DT, or at the normal DT, which, being midnight during daylight savings or 11pm during normal time, is time to hit the sack before getting up and redy for work. Usually by the time I get home from work the patching is done and the servers are coming up.
I also tend to miss most of the inevitable post patchday server bounces.
If the servers are not up I laugh at and poke nubs who demand recompense for missing 1 days gaming time with a sharp stick.

If it is sticky when you pull it, I would recommend seeing a medical professional immediately.
