Hi,I have an old account which I did a trial on in May 2006. I am trying to start it up again, and so have tried to pay the $20.00 sign up fee. But whatever I try it says "not authorised" after I enter all my details in.
I've tried 2 credit cards, both of which are OK and have no credit problems, but still no luck. Any suggestions as to something I'm doing wrong.
I sent an email to support but they haven't replied
Is it because it's a newer revelations than what I used before?

That is odd...
Unless CCP have done some spring-cleaning with old trial accounts (unlikely), I have no idea what would cause such a problem.
Have you checked with your CC bank in case there's a problem? -

i think that you can buy a GTC and feed that in your account page and that should re-active your sub.
but before you buy one, first make sure that you can login to your account page and see if there is an option there to provide a GTC.
i usually buy from www.evetimecode.com

This seems to be a common problem all over the place for people signing up using a credit card. Some are even reporting that it has ended up charging their card for each activation attempt. Check to make sure that hasn't happened and send a billing petition to the GMs asking to get it sorted out.

Well, I've tried credit cards, debit cards all won't work. I then paid them twice via Paypal through the paybycash option, and they actually refunded the money back to me.
The reason for the refund is that they said the details of the accounts didn't match, but I've checked and re-checked and they do 100%.
Support doesn't reply to my petition, so I think I'll just take it as "fate" and not bother to join up. If they don't want my money then what can I do.
Hopefully they haven't charged my card each time I've tried to sign up, as it must have been quite a few times already. Sigh

I also have problems with using credit card, and I hope someone specialized in billing support will answer this topic or my in game petition.
I used Visa debit card.....after few rejections I contacted my bank "vojvodjanska banka a.d. novi sad" (Serbia) and they told me that there was not even a TRY to charge my card. So problem is with web page.
I hope that we will get response soon.

i had this problem a few months ago and i did a smart thing...i petitioned it!
they said they did something with their billing system and computers that mask their ip address can't be verified thus blocking their request. you'd have to close any programs that mask your ip or petition it and the good ol CCP will fix this another way. (don't ask me how i have no idea). Signature Your signature exceeds the 24000 byte limit allowed on the forums. -Darth Patches |

What he said. I had this too. Took about a week for the petition to be handled but then the GM cleaned up their filter and i could resubscribe again without a hitch. I immediately took a 1 year sub to avoid these issues for a while.

or you can just buy time credit... you can actually buy a $15 time credit for the $20 subscription, so saving yourself $5
