Hi Folks, I'm kind of new to these Minmatar ships as my main is Caldari but i am really starting to like these Minmatar ships. I just bought my alt Lothar here a Jaguar and was wondering if any of you hardcore Minmatar PVP pilots could help me out with a decent PVP set up. I am also considering buying him a Wolf aswell because i've heard the Wolf is the better PVP ship of the two so if any of you could give me some ideas on the Wolf aswell it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, Lothar Krellum. |

If it doesn't fit, use named stuff. (i am pretty sure it won't fit, pg wise) |

1 x mse 2 1 x ab (cold gas or t2) 1 x x5 web 1 x fleeting scram 20km
3 x spr`s (best u can fit ,afford)
1 x kinetic rig
pretty much what i use although i occasionlly fit a dammage version with a sheild booster, but this one tanks nicely.
swap a spr for a pdu if needed but it runs ok 4 me with nos helping.

Thanks for the response's so far. Some interesting set ups there. Especially the passive shield tank set up. I will try that one to start with. Thanks folks!

pros: tanks like hell
cons: you can't warpjam
uses of setup: pointman, anti-frig footwork.
edit: and yes, I fly with that ship, with that setup. so you guys screaming "OMFG YOU EFT JOCKEY!" don't need to scream ---

This, more or less, is what I tend to use. (Except for the typo on the mwd. )

If I could find my old passive jag fix I would post it but sadly its gone... waan amusement when passive shield tanking was "NEW" anyway, no speed mod except for a overdrive (was named) back before OD's changed from a flat +m/s to %
Anyway it survived 2 minutes solo vs an impoc till it died a terrible death. :)
Was good vs a raven too.
Still a frig shouldn't die and should always run away if it can so I lost that fit.
I love jags, they are amusing

Tanka Jag-
2 x 200mm t2 1 x 150mm t2 Rocket
MWD Faint 20km Scram X5 Web
2 x PDU2 Suitcase2
1 Kin Rig Recharge rig 20% (CD Feild Purger)
Just over a 100dps can swap suitcase for Gyro2 for 122dps..2226Hp Shld, 313second recharge rate 10k effective Hp. Em Shld resist is 75% all others avergae 60%.
This jag has killed 2 of my unrigged jags no problem and has beaten every Af and inty its come across (according to the pilot) sadly i have not used this fit yet.
Looks pretty awesome.

Edited by: Slayton Ford on 17/11/2007 20:47:58 200mm AC IIs are the wrong way to go on a Jag. The DPS increase you get over 150's are almost non-existant while the additional tracking the 150's have will make up for the whatever dps the 200's have over 150. The 200's also have a fitting requirement that push the PG and CPU usage over what the Jag can naturally fit to the point that a PDS (and possibly a CPU) is required. When your dealing with a ship with limited low slots, you don't want to waste a low slot for fitting purposes.
Here is what I normally use -
3x 150 AC II, Arb Rocket Launcher. Warp Dis II, Web, MSE II, Catalyzed Cold-Jet MWD (T2 MWD has fitting issues but uses more cap) Gyro II, Nano II, OD II Top speed is 2600+ (compared to a t2 MWD w/o OD or Nano being 2k). Can swap a DC in for any of the lows. --------------- This sig has been censored in fear of recieving the ban hammer... |

Edited by: Drek Grapper on 17/11/2007 20:52:28 The PDU's are not for fitting they help the tank Hp buff as well as recharge and help the cap.
Edit: But i will take your advice on the guns. Thanks. ------------------------------------------------ 'The thing always happens that you really believe in... and the belief in a thing makes it happen' - Frank Loyd Wright |

This is corny and not solo at all, its only job is to scare away tacklers (doubt it would kill), it has no ewar, it is not fast and basically just ... A minor mod to my old old jag fit that I think I had :P Rigs because you can, not exactly cost effective. Yes its bad. But then again I had no idea how to fit to tackle or anti tackle except I knew gank+tank

With 150mm as gun and a lot of micro auxiliary power core, you can fit a microwarpind drive, a disruptor and TWO medium shield extender named.
This give you an awesome passive tank.
