Posted - 2008.04.18 14:10:00 - [97] yes i added adverts to the site, the server is not longer sponsored by my company because the contract expired so i have to pay it myself now. You only see the advertising on the first visit, then it got a reload block for 3 1/2 hours. I got almost 1.5TB space on this machine and generating 7 Terabyte traffic a month so i hope you can forgive me :) I also plan to rewrite the whole page and add all the missing features, sounds like a weekend project for me, to bad that i suck in webdesign, maybe someone want to help me out with the design part? :)

It plays about 5 seconds of video, then buffers for 5 minutes, then plays another 5 seconds of video. Maybe make the required preplay buffer a bit longer, just to be on the safe side. I dont mind waiting for it to come through, it's just the constant starting and stopping that is no bueno.

Posted - 2008.05.08 14:06:00 - [100] depends on the time, because of the high traffic the connection gets shapped sometimes and due a error it only goes back to 100Mbit/s with user intervention, so in the night when nobody is there to switch the port back it might get slow because evetube only runs on 10Mbit/s then :/

Small bug report: whenever I watch a movie I would turn the sound down on the player itself. But when it starts buffering it will "forget" my sound setting and turn it back to full volume (although the slider doesn't move).

Google adsense doesnt perform on a video only side since it shows ads based on the text, evetube got videos not text. believe me i do not get rich at all, the layerads are enough to pay the server and hosting for this traffic intensive website, and you only see them 1 time each 3 hours, so there is no bigdeal in it, just click them away. Sorry for that ... EveTUBE.COM - Your bandwidth will be owned sir.

Despite your large bandwidth use on the meter at the bottom of the page, most of the videos buffer horribly even on my 6MB connection. I can stream movies in DVD quality but EVEtube won't play a single vid straight through. Also, your comment system is borked on FF. Please do fix this as I'd like to share with the editors and posters how much I like their vids but I'm not about to use Internet Exploder for anything, not even that. -Gen Dis -Gen Dis
