It's pub meet time, folks! A nice Christmas meet has been planned for you all which is the perfect chance to come down to London, do some Christmas shopping and have some drinks with fellow pod pilots.
I'm sorry for the delay in announcing this one; various people have been away and/or difficult to get hold of. Because of the delay, I'd be grateful if you could tell as many people as possible as soon as possible about this meet - the more the merrier!
The Details
Date: Saturday 8th December 2007
Start: 14:00 (Doors open at this time)
End: 23:00
Venue: Goodman's Field, 87û91 Mansell Street, Aldgate, London, E1 8AN (Map - It's actually the corner of Prescot St and Mansell St)
The venue is probably the nicest Wetherspoons I've ever visited and will hold 300+ very easily. They will be serving food on the day so those of you who want to eat without leaving the venue or breaking the bank can do so. Alternatively, there are a number of places nearby. I'd love to see as many of you there as possible so please do tell your friends!
I should stress at this point that this is being organised by me personally and is not run or supported by IC, ISD or CCP in any way.

Anything short of a full month's notice pretty much rules out most people who work weekends. When you are working weekends in another country, well, what slim chance there is goes out the window.

Well, about 1/2 of the people at the stag do, and about 1/3 of the people at the wedding are Eve players (Causality 4TW!).
With a bit of luck, we'll be able to swing it so we can drop in for a pint or two at about 4'ish, but the fact that we will have a number of anti-gamers with us will prevent us staying too long. 
Wedding at an Eve-meet... depends... you paying?

On the subject of stag dos, at one of the Citte of Yorke meets this geezer dressed in a monk's robe wandered into the bar. We were all impressed with him donning Amarrian fancy dress for the occasion and started shouting "Amarr Victor" at him.
It turns out he was something to do with a pub crawl for someone's stag do

Just got back from the meet, had a great time again.
Thanks a lot to Serathu for organising another great Eve meet, you rock!
And a special mention for two people who provided excellent entertainment during the night, I forget the names already, but one was the guy who staggered outside and collapsed, the other was the rather drunk and obnoxious guy who brought his "BoB are dead" forum-fu out with him. You both know who you are .

I would like to thank every 1 who turned up at the meet, was my 1st 1 and wont be the last, lost count on how much beer i sank, was there from 13:30 and left 22:45 and was drinking non stop lol, going to have 1 hell of a hangover in the morning but WTF was well worth it.
Guys this was so much fun U dont want to miss the next 1.

The meet was aweseome!
One major highlight for me was one of my swedish directors making a surprise appearance! He had told all the corp, our allies, our enemies....except me...comes up to me and...lol :P A great surprise no less!

I really good night, really glad I went to my first proper meet outside of FF.
Unfortunately i got bottled and mugged on my way home and spent the morning in hospital.
My head now hurts for multiple reasons.

Yeah, was my first meet and was awesome. Met some great ppl. I vaguely remember some smack from 5nakeyes but was starting to get pretty hammered at that point. Great night, not sure how I got home and have a sore head now, but well worth it. See you all at the next one.

First time I've met EVE players other than in my immediate in game circle.
Was really interesting to find out the views of people like Vegeta and Hired Goon.
Most random conversation was myself and splattercat explaining the finer points of nose hair removal to Nitrite.
Made sure there were no hard feelings and put things right between ourselves and Foot M after things got a bit fraught in game.

As to why you got lost? It seems that some places forgot to put the street signs back up after the 2nd World War. I've been living in North London for 6 years and I still get lost even with an A-Z.

Huge thanks to Serathu, Hutch and the tall blond ISD fella who's name I can never remember despite having met and conversed three times now (sorry dude) for arranging it and allowing me to bring my non-Eve-r mates along.
Thanks also to everyone who joined us afterwards for the Stag night at Slimelight, it was truly insane (left about 0530 Mid, couldn't find you, Lux or Maggot to say g'night and had to get Acker out in a bit of a hurry).
Oh, also, apologies to Rodj for getting drunk and calling you Udyr all night - not terribly clever.
I appear to have scuffed a big track in my left elbow's skin without damaging the sleeve of my coat, which is very confusing, so if anyone saw me rolling up my sleeves and pavement surfing, let me know, I could use some recall assistance!
