i dunno about you, but i like to spent my paid for time in eve undocked as much as possible.
tbh anything that causes masses of people to be in station longer than they are already only serves to make the game enviroment even more sparse of people to shoot at.

Making it mandatory to eat & drink every each hour would make the fact that you can skill while not having time to play null.
I mean, i know I don't have the time to manage the tamagotchi my character(s) would become.

Well, we are all playing evolving virtual environment right? Then I do not think it is a bad idea to add simulative needs to our active characters when we play them.
They add realism to the game and they do help fight macros. Macros need to get out from their farming systems and find nearest station to dock for food or they can't fly their ships properly.
I honestly think it is a viable idea to gameplay. --------- Technica impendi Caldari generis. Pax Caldaria!

This entire thing is laughable... But you really think that if they can macro mission running or mining they WON'T macro "time to hit up Jenny's Deli for soup and sandwiches" into the mix.
How hard would it be to macro: dock at first station in list, hit market, buy 1 unit of sandwich, hit 'eat'.

I can't use ambulation. So, does that mean my character starves to death?
Yes, I already said this, but I don't think you were paying attention that time. ---

Well, I am not asking CCP to do it next month. I am asking CCP to do that sometime in the future, maybe in a year's time. I am sure your computer would be up to specs by then. :) --------- Technica impendi Caldari generis. Pax Caldaria!

Originally by: Plutoinum For the ambulation haters: Think, if you have a game about space pilots, with different races and factions living in space or settling on planets and with a lot of background story, then something like ambulation is really cool and makes EVE more complete, especially because it adds athmosphere and it's good for meeting and talking to people.
Tbh i think Ambulation will be a kewl new feature and i do hope ccp adds more stuff to it in the future but her idea was just.. bad.
Would be funny if u could order food though, have some long limb roes on toast made of amarrian wheat, and some protein delicacies and wash it down with some spirits or a can of Quafe CCP, let us pay the online shop with Direct Debit!!! Magners is now recruiting, evemail me or Dagazbo ingame.

The alternative is that you have no grasp over the design ideas and choices that make eve what it is. And to mess up all players just to make life harder on macroers?
I know, lets just remove isk from the game, that will kill macroers fur sjure.

How about a Fishing skill, so you will have to fish to get the food.
And then there could be a Cooking skill, because you'll need to cook all the fishes you caught to be able to eat them.
Oh and how about a Herblore skill, so you can make potions with herbs that you can collect in the plantation domes on stations.

You could add a whole skill tree for fishing starting with Rod management (+5% casting accuracy and range per level) and have T2 fishing equipment available once you get level 5 you could have fly fishing specialisation and Coarse fishing specialisation with 2% hook efficiency per level. Terrible.
For starters don't call my character a 'toon', this isn't Hello Kitty online.
Have you ever spent any time in a gate camp? Traveling across Empire and back to 0.0? Mining or ratting in 0.0? Or in a fleet battle? All of these activities can easily take more than an hour and you don't necessarily have a station available to go eat in. And what about titan and mothership pilots? They can't dock. So how are they going to visit a station for a meal?
That's before I mention that I spend enough time sleeping, eating, etc in real life. I don't pay to do in in Eve too.

And whats even funnier is when one of those Dolts reads a responce like this and the (dim) little light goes off over thier head and they rush to post some angsty reply with an alt..

Of course, CCP will no doubt implement it, because they like forcing players to play the game "their" way and no other(see also: Carriers, Fighters, Nosferatu).

I've got an alternate idea. Make ambulation only available in low-sec stations! That way all the people who want to /dance will have to come to low sec.
Brilliant I tells ya! -
