ôAs both the micro and broadband transmission relays today are overloaded with coverage of the recent massacre in Yulai, senior Concord Officials held Emergency Talks earlier to discuss possible funding to aid in the capture of these criminals. The controversial plan to place enormous bounties on the heads of those concerned has caused outrage in the community. Irrefutable evidence lays the atrocity firmly at the feet of corporation who go by the name of Zombie Inc.
Many families of the pilots who lost their lives that night support the idea. ôIf the state police are incapable of defending the citizen in Empire Space then give the job to people who will, my son died while Concord did nothing û I for one will chase these murderers to the end of the galaxyö. While many are outraged at the seeming inability by Concord to perform their role, others have attacked the idea of putting the law into the citizens hands.
Vito Drak, Chairman of the Concord Committee stated their proposal was to place a 150 million isk bounty on the head of each pilot concerned in the attack. There are reports that this was a climb down on Concords part as well as being an attempt to divert from the question of future safety in Yulai and other 1.0 sec sectors.
However, retribution may not be in the hands of those affected by the disaster, pacifists throughout the universe are demanding the members of this æpirateÆ corp be incarcerated for their rest of their natural lives.
Cmndr Spin, ConcordÆs Director of Public Relations refused to comment on whether Concord officials are any nearer tracing the actual whereabouts of the perpetrators, ôConcordÆs dealings with individuals has always been held on a strictly confidential levelö.
While the outcome is unknown, we have without doubt experienced the worst citizen lead atrocity in the history of Eve. How will justice be served?ö
If you want a player based system then let the players play. Instead of reacting in haste you guys could have given us one hell of a REALæNewsÆ storyline to play out. Instead I turn on to read the same dreary old ôScientists Stuck in Station Plopö.
and yaah - you might be getting bored with it all now - but I wanted to say it anyway.

The problem with that is the fact that you would be immortalizing the exploiters. You would be handing gankers a reason to pull crap like that. To have their names in the game news and have 150m on their heads? That's exactly what these people want.
I saw Lord Zap's name in that year in review thing. I've seen m0o show up in agent mission text. Fine. They do their ganking the old fashioned way.
But don't give cookies to exploiters.

Ok it should never have been possible to do what was done, but it has become a major event in the EVE universe. The security should be fixed so it can never happen again but the story should be role played out.
It would be a story peeps could join in, instead of the other stories that are good (very well written fiction) but mean nothing to most peeps as they have no interest / stake / participation in the story.
As posted above I would like to have seen some role play after event ôe.g. outraged citizens call for the heads of those responsible for yulai massacre and there will be a ceremony and day of mourningö etcà
Setting the status of those responsible to KOS with news flashes with there current where abouts, so peeps could hunt them down.
More player participation stories in general:
I have always felt that the factions should be trying to expand there territory into 0.0 while the NPC pirates should be trying to push them back. I hate all this spawning from no where stuff. NPCÆs should spawn at bases and move through gates like everyone else. Players should be able to help push back the NPC pirates, and claim more territory. Player pirates should be able to help the NPC's etc...
More exploring, there should be more interesting places / objects to find. The odd derelict ship or even new alien races lucking in the shadows in 0.0. Perhaps add some new unexplored regions beyond current 0.0 that havenÆt been mapped etc... (I have in another post gone into great detail on all of this).
Oh well we can only wish :)

bounties dont work, they would have all killed each other, colleced the 150m and laughed as they used it to buy better ships and mods

how about everyone in eve is allowed to kill, atack, pod kill, anyone who atacks other people or anyone who is adding to their energy,sheilds ect. without peanalty

As far as i know it was done within the game mechanics without using a method that bypasses them. If anything, the mechanics themselves are flawed and the AI of Concord is half-ass. I guess at most it could be called a bug, but since they were all members of the same corp, and corp members can shoot at each other in secure space, there really are no grounds for it being called an exploit.
